  • Sedona Vacation

The property was well supplied with everything we could need and very nicely decorated and plenty large for 4 people. We were very comfortable. The deck was a wonderful way to start the day with coffee and a beautiful view. The Casita could use a larger adult size table and a trash can otherwise it was like a little get away.

  • Didn't want to leave!

This is a very nice home. Spacious, well-appointed, tastefully decorated, comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed to cook all meals. We rarely ate out. Coffee in the morning on the deck with that beautiful view was unbeatable! Smart TV had DISH, plus Netflix, Prime, etc. for logging in. Cell reception was weak, but good enough for our needs. Wifi had trouble on the deck. Master and en suite were spacious and almost spa-like. The thick foam mattress topper was comfortable if you're a back or side sleeper, but not enough support for stomach sleepers. There was only enough hot water for one short short shower. Next person had to wait several hours or until the end of the day. That was inconvenient. We went for a walk around the block after dark and were greeted by large packs of Javalinas! We kept a VERY safe distance, as there were several mothers with their babies. The location was perfect! We felt away from it all, but Oak Creek was still just a short drive, with groceries, restaurants, gas, etc. Sedona wasn't too far of a drive in our opinion. Besides, the scenery on the way to Sedona was magnificent! 20 minutes went by like nothing! We hiked up Doe Mountain, which was steep, but short and do-able. The views up top were breath-taking. The week went by too fast and we didn't even come close to doing everything we wanted to do. We are planting a money tree in the backyard, so hopefully we can afford to come back soon! Thank you for a clean and comfortable home to make our trip great!

  • The home is in the heart of red rock country.

What you see in the pictures posted in the listing is what you walk out into when you book the rental. The views are outstanding. The property itself is in very good order and is clean, comfortable, and spacious. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and though it is a few minutes' drive to Sedona, it is close to plenty of amenities. In Oak Creek there is easy access to grocery, gas, convenience, and restaurants including a pretty good variety of food. We dined at a very nice upscale restaurant in Oak Creek and were impressed by the quality of the service and the food. There is mention that there is exercise equipment, but we never found any, not that we needed to use any. The neighborhood is conducive to walking and there are plenty of trails that can be accessed which is actually why anyone would want to visit this area in the first place. Know that spring and fall are the high season so expect crowds and lots of traffic. It can be a challenge to do touristy things so book your activities in advance and plan for extra drive time. Parking anywhere in Sedona can be difficult. Avoid Uptown on the weekends. Overall, the scenery and landscapes are breathtaking. Don't miss the sunrises and the sunsets as the sun banks off the massifs that ring the area. If you are lucky enough to witness a rain shower and a rainbow, the colors are so vibrant you will remember that as a highlight of your stay.

  • Good value, house in good condition

Overall the house is fine, everything important worked and the view from the deck is great. Away from the Sedona crowds, though not totally silent or secluded. 30 mins drive into Sedona. Stairs to access the front door and the casita, so not a good choice for wheelchairs or those who have trouble navigating stairs. Generally a quiet neighborhood. All of the noise of a regular suburb – construction, kids yelling, people talking, the neighbor talking loudly into her phone watering her trees 6 feet from the deck. When quiet, lovely to hear the wind in the pines and the birds. Lots of bats at sundown eating the bugs that bite (bring bug spray). You have to keep a light on under your car in because pack rats. They provide the light and the instructions in the binder – so read the binder. Starry on clear nights, except when neighbors had their bright outdoor lights on that all seem to point to the side deck. Not much privacy as the houses are close together, windows face a neighbors window or driveway. Not a place to be naked or have total privacy. Does have a lot of trees surrounding it, so more private than houses nearby. May not bother you, I’m hypersensitive to it as I live in a very quiet place with no close neighbors. House very clean – housekeeping does a great job. However, it is as if nobody has checked on what needs replacing/repairing. Water jug in the fridge is missing it’s top. Cover missing from bathroom fan, so the bulb is exposed. Dishwasher tilts forward when loading it and the kitchen sink faucet needs replacing. The side deck could use some side tables, only one just big enough for a drink. The casita is a single room with a bed and some furniture. The kitchen is well stocked. Some strange missing items I usually find in rentals, such as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and an ice cream scoop. Décor is bizarre – Christian/God stuff, odd mix of western, oriental and modern. All of the appliances and the kitchen sink are black, the furniture, bathroom and towels are mostly brown and black. Master bedroom bed was comfortable, but you sink way down into the foam. Air conditioning was easy to use and worked well, same with washer/dryer. Hotels in the area $200 a night ($369/night for the Hilton) so a good deal to have a place to myself. Reservation process and access were easy. Overall a good value for the amount of space you get and for the good condition of the house.
