We loved the wrap around porch which faces the ponderosa forest. It is extremely quiet and private (no street noise at all!). Everyone liked the layout.
The management staff were very easy to communicate with and helpful.
The Good:
Check in was easy
House was mostly clean
Location was good for us (not walkable to anything but pretty private)
The Bad:
Upon check-in, there was an odor coming from the kitchen sink. We ran the water and tried to turn on the disposal only to find out the disposal was unplugged and the kitchen sink was leaking (way more than a couple drops) from the disposal. The dishwasher water line also ran through the disposal. Before contacting management, we decided to walk around and see if anything else was out of place. We opened the freezer and there was blood/ meat juice in the freezer. We contacted the primary contact and sent pictures and after a few hours and a couple more attempts via email and text (the listed preferred method), we received a response that they would contact a handyman and cleaner and send them out the next day. That was the last we heard from them during our 4 day/ 3 night stay despite additional attempts to contact them. There were some minor issues like screens that wouldn’t close all the way or smoothly, a door that wouldn’t lock, and some of the dishes were dirty, but put away as if they were clean.
We purchased a lot of groceries on our way up to Pine/Strawberry to cook most of our meals while staying at the home, but with the kitchen sink not functional and with us unable to wash/ reuse pans and dishes or use the dishwasher, we ended up spending way more money eating out than we had planned on.
I asked for $300 back - no response yet.
