This property was not as described. We had a group of 9 - 4 adults and 5 kids, and came to ski for the weekend at White Pass. The VRBO listing says the property has internet and laundry facilities. It has neither. The owner has the property manager completely disconnect both the washer and dryer so they are unusable. The primary source of heat for the main living area is a pellet stove. The owners filled up the stove about 25% of the way and the fireplace then shuts off after it burns through the pellets. There is no information given about the operation of this - so we spent an hour in the middle of the night trying to figure why it had just shut off and wouldn’t start back up. Wall controls just read error. After contacting the property manager, he said he was directed to not give additional pellets. We had no idea that we needed to bring our OWN pellets, and hardware store in town was out… so we did not ever get the temp in the house above 63 degrees. We walked around in sweatshirts, shivering all weekend. We contacted the owners on our second day and finally got the laundry facilities turned on - but not something we wanted to battle on vacation. The property manager was great…but his hands were clearly tied at the direction of the owners. There was dog poop scattered around the property, including the driveway parking areas. The house was not clean - lots of cobwebs and dust. The top rack of the dishwasher was not functional - which, with 9people, meant a LOT of loads of dishes. We were given enough dishwasher detergent for two loads for the entire weekend. It’s a gorgeous property with a lot of potential - but this is a quirky family cabins and should not be rented out to paying guests. At the rate we paid, we feel angry and completely ripped off.

Excellent communication with owner, perfect for our group of three families. 20 min to White Pass, and beautiful setting overlooking a private pond. Elk, Eagles, and Hawks all made an appearance.

The house was not clean and lot of dog hairs. No clean towels and blanketswere not clean enough. In fact there was a dog poop in one of the bed room. The contact given was not picking calls for anything to ask or do somecleaning.

Jayaraman, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're sorry to hear you encountered cleanliness concerns during your stay. The homeowner would like to note that since your stay, they've begun working with a cleaning crew who is much more in line with expectations. We hope you'll consider giving Evolve another chance for your future vacation rental needs! Best, the Evolve Team
This property has great potential, with a spacious and light house and a fantastic location on a lake. It's near the charming town of Packwood, Mt Rainier National Park and the National Forest. However, the property itself is not as advertised. The house is dirty and in poor condition, including dust, cobwebs, and dirty kitchen equipment and flatware. One bedroom has bed bugs. All bedrooms had dirty bedding, with only some of the beds changed before our stay (the cleaner also left the dirty bedding from the previous renters on the stairs). Towels had not been washed, and were smelly. The lower floor game room is shared with people staying on the property in RVs (including the caretaker and his family, who were extremely helpful), and the entertainment equipment is not in a usable condition. There is a resident dog in the house, who stole our food. The air conditioning was flaky, and didn't work at all in one room. No wifi is provided. The advertised fire pit is full of old clothes and construction debris (including plastic and metal, which wouldn't be pleasant to burn). With some work to improve the cleanliness and state of the property, and updating the listing to be accurate, this could be a great destination. As it stands, however, it is not acceptable
