Great Place to Relax
5/5 We spent 2 nights in this great little A Frame after summiting Rainier. Could not ask for a better location to explore the park from. The cabin is clean and comfortable. Also want to give a shout out to the Ashford General store, they are friendly and helpful.

Uncleaned Cabin
1/5 Upon arrival we found an unlocked door on a dark uncleaned cabin. We found dirty dishes in the kitchen, dirty wet towels in the bathroom and an dirty sheets on the bed. We immediately turned around and left. To contact the host we needed to drive fifteen minutes to find a mobile signal. The host explained that the ‘cleaning team’ had forgotten to clean the cabin and she would ‘call them’ and asked if we could come back in an hour. Our checkin was set for 4pm. By this time it was 6:30pm. A few minutes later the host texted us that the cabin had been cleaned. We both agreed we did not want to stay there so decided to drive three hours back home that night. We didn’t stay in the cabin. The management company refunded their share of the cost. We’re still waiting to hear from VRBO.

Stay in Ashford
4/5 We stayed for several days while visiting the national park. The proximity to the park was great, but there is no public access to the Nisqually river from the property or nearby road. With a little TLC the property could be great. There were several tarp covered piles of building materials in the back and a few items needed maintenance inside. The cabin had a stocked kitchen that met our needs. Overall, a good home base for a trip to the park.

Close to park entrance
3/5 Nice simple A-frame. Not very clean, old jello shots in freezer, shower broke, coffee left in coffee pot, towel bar missing, ripped off wall. Futon cover had dog hair all over it. No window shades or blinds on window. A step above camping but great location.
