• Perfect base camp!

  My family and I all loved this location, amenities, and place itself. We all commented how we wanted to put the whole cabin in our luggage and take it home. It was perfect! During our stay the neighborhood was very quiet. We did not have any cellular service here, but the WiFi worked great! We appreciated knowing we would have it would once we arrived back to the cabin. I would absolutely stay here again!

  Loved, loved, loved this property. One of the best VRBOs I’ve stayed in. The house was immaculate, beautifully decorated and so convenient to Mount Rainier NP. Great place to relax at the end of a day of hiking. I would definitely book this property again.

  This cabin is clean and comfortable. Our family of 4 enjoyed the stay and the location. One bedroom is upstairs and the bunk room is downstairs. Kitchen is small but plenty counter space for those who want to cook. Kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities. Highly recommend this cabin!

  Loved, loved, loved this cabin. One of the best I’ve ever rented. House was convenient to Mount Rainier NP, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. It was a great place to relax after a day of hiking in the park. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your property.

• Well supplied and situated accommodations but overly scented

  We loved sitting out on the little porch but it is by a busy and noisy road. The butterfly gardens were beautiful and the house is easy access to the National Park. HOWEVER, the need to use overly scented detergent and dryer sheets on all linens, towels, blankets, etc. is beyond my comprehension - why not go with a neutral product for those who cannot abide the stench of artificial chemicals. I re-washed my sheets in hot water with no detergent and hung them out to dry and they still reeked, so my sleeping experience absolutely sucked. In special request I asked for no overly scented bedding and that is NOT what I got. AND, Christmas decorations still were everywhere! Why???? For some reason, the host wanted the lights on outside 24/7. Again, Why? What a waste of electricity. Mainly for the heavy disgusting scent of the bedding and towels, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

  Hi Gail, we’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the owner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - We're so glad you enjoyed the porch! We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but the noise from the road is simply out of our control. That being said, aside from the road being traveled by tourists or locals to head to Mt. Rainier, we haven't experienced a lot of traffic when we've stayed at the cabin ourselves.
  - The detergent we use for all of our guests is unscented, free and clear, and we only use wool dryer balls, no dryer sheets. We provide a small bottle of detergent and dryer sheets for guest use during their stays. We've never received any complaints about scented items in our house in the past. Additionally, there are no plug-in air fresheners, candles, or harsh cleaners used in the home.
  - We use professional photographers so we can be sure that our images accurately reflect each property and guests can decide before booking if the decor meets their expectations. This is a mountain cabin and there are elk, deer, and bear decorations as well as plaid throughout the home. There are no Christmas decorations.
  - We leave on the outside lights and one light inside for guest arrivals as we don't know how late they could be checking in. It is up to guests if they wish to keep the lights on or turn them off while they're in residence.
  We truly go above and beyond and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
