  We checked in on Christmas Eve around 4:30. On our arrival there was a package of cigarettes and 1/2 bottle of Powerade on the counter. No big deal we simply tossed them. However as we started to unpack and settle in we were beside ourselves at the lack of cleaning completed on this house. Our shoes stuck to the floor in the kitchen and leading into the garage. It seems like maybe garbage bags had been set in this area and the residue was never cleaned up. We tried to clean it our selves but the 1/2 roll of paper towels that were left for us had to last through the holiday since nothing was open. We found dried food on the side tables that was easily taken care of with a wet cloth. The furniture and rugs were in awful condition and even had crumbs on them from a prior visitor. We tried to play cards on the dining table but it was so sticky that the cards wouldn’t slide and our shirt sleeves stuck to the table. While this house has been refreshed and looked amazing in photos, what we walked into was uncomfortably dirty making for a very long 3 day stay. While I know I could have reached out to the rental contact, it was Christmas and I wasn’t about to take away from the limited time we had with our family to have someone unhappily come in and try to clean a whole house on Christmas Eve/Christmas day. We laid sheets over the furniture and blankets on the rug so we could enjoy Christmas morning. If this house can get a thorough cleaning, there in no doubt it would get the 5 stars. But vacuuming the floor and wiping down surfaces should be common practice. The rental process was quite simple and we did enjoy the location.

  The house was perfect for our large extended family! Kitchen was well stocked with basic utensils, pans, and everything we needed. We loved access to the beach and the gear provided. Did not use the pool but it looked great! Food Lion and Walmart were super close and convenient for all our needs. Perfect location in quiet neighborhood but close enough to get to all the action MYB has to offer!

  Loved the location of the home! The kids enjoyed the beach (private access) and amenities provided in the gated community. Nice to have restaurants so close. Food Lion and Walmart were very convenient as well. Having the extra family room in the house was great with the kids having their own space.
