  • Perfect for a weekend getaway!

    5/5

My family and I stayed here to spend Christmas and we adored it! The location was absolutely beautiful! The back of the house has a trail down to the creek which was icing on the cake. It is equipped with every little thing you might possibly need! The house looked small in pictures but it was surprisingly very spacious! We loved the whole setup of the house and the comfty vibe it has. The book collection and the cute Christmas tree was also a nice touch. The host also left a bottle of Chardonnay with cheese and crackers, which we very much enjoyed, thank you for that! We can’t wait to spend another getaway here!

  • Wonderful stay

    5/5

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin! Super clean! It smelled great when we walked in. The view and location were perfection. You could hear the flowing creek and watch the wildlife from the back deck. Short distance from the action in midtown but far enough away to feel the mountains around you. Hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. We had wine and cheese waiting for us when we arrived. I plan on coming back soon!

  • Great Stay

    5/5

Very nice place. The place is just as described and the host left a bottle of wine and welcome snack upon arrival. We had a great time just chilling out in the cabin and on the back decks. The sound of the Ruidoso river is a very nice way to fall asleep. Also, the wifi was of excellent quality for those that need the speed. Thanks for the great last minute trip!

  • Best stay ever

    5/5

We went for a relaxing family trip. This cabin was perfect!! It has all the amentities needed. It was clean and the location is just right. There are 3 separate sitting areas off the back porch. Big enough to sit 5 adults or more. There’s a nice flowing stream just down below the porch so you hear the water from the house. It’s so relaxing and calm. Just what we were looking for. Hanging out on the porch grilling and down by the creek was such a wonderful way to spend time with our family. We will definitely stay here again soon!!

  • A note from the Guest Contact

    5/5

This cabin is called Las Tias and is our family home. I appreciate the kind words about our cabin. We take pride in every detail being perfect for our guests. The comment last summer from Pam on this forum about the bathrooms not being clean enough prompted me to double down on all cleaning. I will note that because of our hard water there will always be a mineral stain in the toilets, as hard as we scrub.

We also have a notebook at the cabin where people write down their feedback. So far, many have said the most kind things and that they want to come back.

There have been comments about water pressure. I found the source of the problem - the valve to the main line (on the Village side) needed to be replaced, as well as a bad leak on that same line about 50 ft down the road. All of that has been resolved.

Amenities not mentioned: Apart from a well-stocked kitchen, I leave you a bottle of wine and cheese & crackers, and when possible, fresh flowers. From my laying hens, I leave a half dozen very fresh eggs. During the cold months, I set a fire in the wood burning stove with enough wood for one fire. All you have to do is light it! The grill on the deck is equipped with propane, and if you ever run out, I'll have it replaced within the hour. If you want to arrive early or leave late, I'll make every effort to accommodate you.

This cabin is perfect for nature lovers, hikers, writers, cyclists, or professional relaxation specialists. Our goal is your perfect vacation. Please tell us how we can improve!

If you have any special requests, all you need to do is ask - my contact information is available after booking.
