  • Great condo- Poor management

    I will start by saying the condo is in a great location with great room sizes. There were plenty of beach supplies. The beds were comfortable and the space was nicely decorated. The negative came right away when we discovered there were no soaps or shampoos provided, which is something that has never been an issue for us with booking through Marriott Bonvoy. We were told to go to the corner store. We booked for 3 nights. Each bathroom had 1 already started roll of single ply toilet paper with only 1 extra roll in the master. We had 3 adults and 2 teenage children with us. When one of the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper, once again, we were told to go to the corner store. The condo only provided 1 roll of paper towels. We didn't bother calling about that as we didn't want to be told to go to the corner store again. The dvd player remote did not have batteries and 2 times the shower curtain rod fell on my 22 yr old US Airman son. It is a tension rod that I had to adjust to make stay in place. A cleaning fee of $260 was paid yet we still had to make sure all dishes were washed and put away, all bed stripped and garbage taken out or there would be an additional cleaning fee applied. None of this is listen in the posting. Once again, we have never had to do this when booking through Marriott Bonvoy. The floors were really dirty. My daughter's white socks were almost black on the bottom by the end of the day even with sweeping multiple times a day. We utilized the outside faucet to clean all sand when returning from the beach and removed shoes in the entrance way.

    The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
    -We want to clarify that we don’t provide toiletries like soaps and shampoos, this is not listed as an amenity. I understand this might differ from your experiences with other stays.
    -Our cleaners usually leave a spare roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. As is standard in the vacation rental industry, we provide a starter amount of essentials, and once that amount is out, it's typical for the guest to purchase more supplies.
    -The checkout instructions are included in the pre-stay email sent to each guest. As is standard for vacation rentals, guests are asked to complete a few small tasks, as part of checkout. The cleaning fee goes to a professional service that sanitizes and prepares the home for each new guest.
    -We typically ensure that all remotes are stocked with batteries, and I regret if this was missed before your arrival.
    -If we had been aware of the issue with the shower curtain rod or the floor cleanliness, we would have addressed these concerns immediately during your stay.
    We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

    Our family enjoyed our stay. The unit was bigger than expected, nicely decorated, with everything one could need. We walked mostly everywhere.

    The unit is beautifully decorated and supplied with many amenities. The location is perfect and the views calming and relaxing.

  • Great Location and Condo

    We loved the location and the condo. The worst thing about the condo was that the floor was dirty, or the tile needed to be sealed.

    Before we arrived, I called Melanie, the guest contact before arriving, to ask several questions. Never received a call back. Several days before leaving, I called about a leaking fire sprinkler in the hallway outside of the entrance to the condo. It was very slippery. Received a phone call back in minutes. I was told she would contact the owner of the condo, so he could call the maintenance people. It was not repaired before I left. Like I said, I loved the place and location. I would rent again. It just could have been little nicer without the small problems.
