  Enjoyed this house for a family high school graduation. It is a clean, well-appointed house on a quiet street with easy parking. However, do not rent this house if you have anyone with mobility issues. The steep front steps are in need of repair and are a fall waiting to happen.

  The home was very comfortable. The steps outside need work as it was hard going up and down them especially with luggage. The house was very clean, the pool table a plus. The outside furniture needs to be replaced as it is not in good condition. Overall, we enjoyed staying there. Quiet neighborhood.

• Hidden gem in quiet DC neighborhood

  My family stayed at this property for three nights while attending a college graduation in DC. I thought the property was wonderful. It was very spacious and well appointed. The neighborhood was quiet, and parking was easily available. Only thing I would suggest is grass was a little high and backyard could've been neater. But we would definitely stay here again.

• Disappointed: Do Not Recommend

  Overall disappointed and do not recommend.

  Here’s why:

  - Condition and Quality: The pictures of the home over-represent the current condition and quality. Many walls and ceilings are damaged and poorly patched. The furniture and tables in the home are severely worn and damaged.

  - Safety Hazards: the porch stairs are damaged and literally crumbling. The hand rail for the stairs is unstable and is strapped in place by a spring-like bungee cord. Clearly a safety concern for anyone, especially children.

  - Unresolved Issues: The kitchen faucet stopped working with two days remaining in our stay. I promptly reported the issue to the property manager and was advised service would be dispatched. No service was performed and I received no follow up from the property manager.

  - Cleanliness: the floors in the home and bathroom were dirty, evidence found on our socks. The shower curtains in the bathrooms were also dirty.

  - Location: Mixed. Best described as an ‘up and coming’ neighborhood. Some nice and recently renovated homes and some desperately needing attention. The commute to downtown and national mall was 25-30 minutes by car. The area near Catholic University is very nice, but quality grocery and shopping is limited. Proceed with caution if shopping in the surrounding areas or use a delivery service.

  Bottom line: disappointed with the experience and do not recommend.

  -We apologize for any disappointment experienced during your stay. The property and its furnishings undergo regular inspections to maintain quality standards. Any observed wear and tear is within expected limits, with no notable damage to the walls or furniture. Similarly, the concrete porch stairs exhibit normal signs of wear and tear, in line with regular use.
  -Regarding the kitchen faucet issue, we were notified by the Guest Contact the afternoon before your checkout. Although attempts were made to assess the problem, a response was not received. Upon inspection after your departure, it was discovered that the battery was dead and was promptly replaced. This only affected one faucet, and all others were in working order.
  -We prioritize cleanliness and will ensure your feedback is promptly shared with our cleaning team. It's worth noting that pre-check-in inspections of the bathrooms consistently indicated a high standard of cleanliness.
  -The property's location, just four miles from the National Mall in Washington D.C., means that traffic levels can vary from moderate to heavy at different times. Additionally, there are three grocery stores within a two-mile radius, including an organic option less than a mile away, with detailed information provided in the Guest Book for your convenience.
