  • Dirty dishes & horrible communication tainted a nice stay


    Cabin itself is very nice. Simply & tastefully decorated with minimal personal items. Lots of sleeping space. Nice outdoor space. We enjoyed our time there overall. ConsUpon arrival discovered dishwasher full of dishes. It is unclear whether it had been run or not. Some appeared clean, but there was also a bowl and silverware with food crusted on them. Throughout our stay came upon MANY dirty dishes in the cabinets and drawers. 6 filthy coffee mugs that looked like they had been used and put directly in the cabinet. Drinking glasses with sticky stuff on them. We had to pre-wash all of our dishes to ensure they were actually clean.I texted the contact to let them know about the dishes and received no response. I texted again before we checked out to make sure they received my message. They apologized and stated they would contact the owners and see about a discount on our cleaning fee. I thought this was kind and appropriate. Two days later I had not heard back so I texted again to see if they had heard from the owners. No response. 24 hours after that, I sent another message. No response. It has now been four days since we checked out and I seem to be getting ghosted by the contact. If they would have just responded & offered even a small discount on the cleaning fee, the whole thing would be handled and fine, but the lack of communication at this point is very bad. If there had been a more pressing issue while staying there, I don't know if it would get handled.

    - We have talked with our cleaning crew to ensure that this issue does not recur for future travelers. We sincerely apologize that the cabin's cleanliness fell short of expectations. We'll continue working with our cleaning crew so this doesn't happen again moving forward.
    - We understand how important communication is to our guests and we will follow up with our Guest Contact to ensure future guests do not share the same experience. While we do regret our cabin was not up to your expectations, we are happy to share that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend.

  • Loved the wildlife


    The house was very nice the area was great for seeing Elk Deer ect. The yard was great for the dogs. The porches had lots of cobwebs . We had a really nice time

    There was a group of us who went for a hiking trip and as soon as we checked in we fell in love with the property. Such a nice escape from city life and to get in tuned with nature. The only complaint some had was the smaller beds were not comfortable. Other than that the house was perfect!
