• Terrible Communication

  We stayed at this cabin this past weekend and weren't provided with access instructions prior to our arrival. Several fire alarms were going off throughout our first night every 30 minutes or so after we kept being awoken to temporarily shut them off. We tried reaching out to the company multiple times so they'd provide the WiFi information so we could get some work done while there and they only got back to us about 24 hours later. To appease our troubles, we were refunded $56 out of a $616 total cost for our stay for two nights. I would positively not stay at an Evolve property again.

  - We wish you had reached out to us during your stay about the fire alarms. We would've been more than happy to resolve your concerns and make your stay more comfortable. We do have high standards of hospitality and understand how important communication is to our guests.

• Beautiful place

  We throughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean, well stocked kitchen. Comfortable King size bed. The fireplace was great to have as we encountered unexpected cold & snow during our visit. The only thing I would caution would be that our new van GPS took us to Duck Creek Village. Only by using our phone GPS were we able to find it. All in all a great place!

• Duck Creek Cabin not so great

  Firstly, the cabin is OK but has a number of issues. To begin with the rooms are all very small and the furniture much too large for the spaces they're in. E.G., the upstairs (yes there are stairs and you'll get tired running up and down), master bedroom has a King size bed but to fit it into the room one side is approximately 6 inches from the wall making it a challenge to get in / out. The same goes for the space the kitchen table sits in - it's a challenge to get in / out of 4 of the chairs. Next, there are no instructions or information anywhere that tell you how to operate the fireplace, the stereo, the door locks (when you want to lock up when leaving), or anything else in the cabin for that matter. There were only a handful of bath towels (guess they want you to do the laundry), and be very careful when showering in the master - the tub is very slippery. Also, there were no kitchen towels to be found so you're stuck using paper towels to dry anything you might need to wash. Given Duck Creeks location, it's a hike to get to any of the National parks - like an hour minimum or more. I'd add that you'll want to make sure you bring in all of your food because while there's a General Store in Duck Creek it's pretty limited (the closets Walmart or Grocery was 25 miles away in Cedar City) and restaurants are far and few between. As for the grill, I don't think it's been cleaned in a very long time - very nasty. And you have to wonder how the people that come in to clean can't at least check the lights to make sure there's none burned out. Lastly, while we would have enjoyed sitting around an outdoor fire however, the location of the firepit was less than desirable - located next to the dog run and between two storage units in the drive-way and no chairs. Guessing the expected you to lug the chairs off the porch (that's up on the top deck) and then haul them back up. Overall, not an ideal cabin especially for the cost. You can find better accommodations in / around Bryce or Zion and be much closer to the parks.

  - The listing does state there are stairs at the cabin, but we are sorry if this caught you off guard.
  - We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs.
  - We do include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the cabin before booking.
  - We also provide plenty of suggestions in the listing description of nearby attractions, but ultimately it’s up to the guest how they want to spend their time in the area.
  - We've confirmed that the Evolve pre-stay email was sent to you before your arrival, which included detailed check-in instructions and other information about the property.
  - We encourage guests to check their email and spam folders. Also, Evolve is available 24/7 for any guest questions or concerns.
  - We apologize if the layout of the property didn't match your personal preferences. The fire department determines the location of the fire pit so its location is out of my control. We can assure all guests that the cabin's fire pit is in a safe location.
  - While we do regret our cabin was not up to your expectations, we're happy to share that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend.

  Very nice and clean property. Everything in house as described. Great views from deck, and stores are close by for simple needs. Our family made great memories here. Will come back for sure. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
