  • Nice beach condo

    5/5

Nice beach condo with good views. Only thing different with the photos was the couch. No big deal. Will stay again.

  • Worse than horrible

    1/5

After an 8 hr drive to get here we found our room in disrepair. This is after we walked down a corridor with broken stair guards and stepped over power tools and past construction workers running equipment to get to our room. Two construction crews were hammering, demo and using air nailers right outside. Upon entry it wreaks of mold...bad. there is a fruity air plugin somewhere but it doesn't mask the smell, which is overwhelming the in the bedroom. All doors weren't level and opened and closed only with force. The sinks were dirty, the bathroom has dark brown permanent stains around the toilet with a filthy toilet scrubber sitting there and the toilet paper holder is broken so the roll won't spin. The air conditioner clanks on and off and runs loudly. To top it off, the entire floor is rotten and squishy on the 3rd floor!! Even the lamp in the small living area sits crooked because it's in need of replacement. As we left inspection we had to say excuse me for the work crew to let us by so we could walk down the hall. It was a dissatisfaction and disappointment to say the least. We now sit in the parking lot debating on sleeping in our car.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Justin, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following:
    - The condo complex is working on renovations, and there is ongoing construction at the building. We are adding a note about the construction to the listing so guests are aware before booking. We sincerely apologize you were not informed of this before your stay.
    - The owner works with a professional cleaner who prepares the condo before each guest's arrival. The cleaner also checked the mold and replaced the A/C blower.
    - Due to the condo's sea-facing location, humidity is very common with the rains and thunderstorms.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay.

  • Nice Tiny Condo

    5/5

Property a bit dated but location and Condo very nice. Condo has been nicely updated and the people running this community were great. Gated community. Vey nice overall.

  • Maybe you get what you pay for

    2/5

We came to town for our daughter's state powerlifting competition. We had less then 2 weeks to find a place to stay on spring break, in a coastal town once she made it past regionals. That's not the easiest task. I basically had 2 choices.

One of the nicer hotels in town or this condo in North beach area. We went ahead and chose the condo so we could have a little kitchen area and closer proximity to a beach areas for our youngest daughter. The pics of the inside of the condo were accurate. The outside and common areas, however were not depicted well. This place looks and feels like it's going to fall down around you.

Metal I beams showing at areas the siding has come off appear to be crumbling, soft spots in the floors make you feel as your going to fall through. Elevator is scary , and they used roof sheathing in the Elevator floor as a border around the laminate. The heated pool is cloudy, light is out of the wall in kiddy pool, just dangling. Both of these items would shut the pool down if inspectors came by(trust me, I own a pool company). I didn't let my child in the pool, as it's a health Hazzard. Flooring on the 3rd floor hallways is covered in plywood. Walls are so thin, everyone partying at 3am can be heard . This isn't in the nicer area of corpus, my suggestion is go over the bridge away from north beach. The condo unit we stayed in was clean (except the moldy shower). It's also very stark and you can tell it's an investment property and not owner occupied when not rented. The beds were the worst thing I've ever slept on. I've never woken up so sore from just sleeping in my life. The balcony railings are janky. I wouldn't let my child close to it.

It's definitely a cheaper property to stay at, maybe you get what you pay for, as I do normally spend a lot more, I just didn't have many choices this time. I definitely should have just stayed at the omni and drove to a beach area for the little one. Lesson learned.
