5/5 We chose Chestnut lodge because the listing said it had a very large deck, lake/mountain views and most important to us was lake access and pet friendly. Let me just say it did not disappoint. We absolutely loved the amazing, large deck with beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. We spent most of our time on the deck just enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub as the evenings were cooler and we enjoyed a warm soak while taking in the fantastic view. The cabin itself is clean, warm and inviting. The living room was large enough to accommodate a larger group and was perfect for our family of four which included my mother in-law, teenage son, my husband, myself and our 2 senior pups. The views from the living room were great too if you wanted to stay inside and still enjoy the view. The kitchen is not large but it was well equipped and was more then sufficient for our needs. The washer and dryer was a great bonus as well. We gave my mother in-law the downstairs bedroom as the only drawback are the steep stairs to the 2nd floor, but they are manageable. The 2nd floor has a spacious bedroom that sleeps several people and we took the room with the king size bed which was comfortable. My son really enjoyed the game room and played several games of pool with his grandma and his dad. We initially planned to bring a larger group and this would have been perfect to suite everyones needs. We loved our time there and cant wait to return.

Terrific cabin overlooking Lake Nantahala with a great deck.
5/5 Owner provided lots of area info & was very responsive to any questions / issues. Game room & garage with dock toys, paddle board, kayak & floats, a real bonus.

5/5 Amazing gateway vacation with family and friends. This place was very clean and equipped from everything you could possibly imagine. My kids really enjoyed the game room and the jacuzzi. Jeff is an amazing host. We had a little issue with one of the appliances and luckily he was staying in at a nearby cabin and he came in himself to assit. The lake views from the deck are breathtaking. I will definitely recommend this beautiful wood cabin to anyone looking to get away from that city madness. Will definitely come back again. Thank you Jeff!

5/5 We had not stayed in the NC mountains before and we were greatly surprised at how beautiful the location was! The accommodations exceeded our expectations. It was a welcoming and very peaceful stay. The game room and hot tub were an added bonus.
The owners were extremely helpful and quick to respond to our many questions. We all agreed that if we get the chance, we will certainly go back! Thank you!
