The property itself is great. The view really is breathtaking. This property is the owner's home so it is "lived in" not just an empty house, which means kitchen had everything we needed, and beds were quite comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, was great for our family of 6 adults. The host is extremely hands on and prefers live communication. He required a phone interview before he would accept our booking request where he reiterated the house rules (no kids no pets) and tried to get us to book outside VRBO. We declined and he ultimately accepted our booking through the app. He is also very communicative, wanting several phone calls and video calls with us before we arrived, and wanted us to call when we arrived.

Response from the owner: "This renter was very resistant to communicating requesting videos be sent to his Dropbox rather than actually talk person to person. When his parents (not himself) arrived they did not know how to access the property despite sending 9 short videos as requested. The renter did not seem to understand that this beautiful (Yes) lived in home ( as most homes are) is someone’ actual home and a friendly gesture of wanting to know and accommodate your guest is a kindness extended. The parents were wonderful, communicative, kind, respectful and left the home picked up and even ran a load of bed linens upon departure."
Staying at this property was so very relaxing and checked off all of the boxes we needed for a getaway. It's in an absolute gorgeous area in Maggie Valley and the house was so comfortable, clean and even better experienced live than the photos. My niece and I were able to really relax and really enjoy the space and get some much needed quality time. I'd book this property again in a heartbeat.

Owner's response: "Thank you John. It was a pleasure having you here, and I look forward to the next time."
Everything was perfect. Would not hesitate to rebook. For a truly “top shelf” experience this is the one.

From the owner: "Thank you and hope you’ll come back."
Incredible views, impeccable decorations, three enormous bedrooms, and a master bathroom and shower where you will spend longer than you should luxuriating; this impeccably clean home at the end of a winding mountain road is a must stay for any couple or up to a three couple group visiting the Great Smokey region. And one feature I was not aware of when I rented the home was that at the bottom of the mountain is a country club with a scenic golf course open to the public. My wife and I were the first guests of the personable, easy-to-work-with owner at his top of the mountain home. He has done everything right, and I am sure this retreat will soon become a hard to book escape. It has five fantastic rooms to congregate in: a huge outdoor deck with comfy seating mostly under cover (and a gas grill), an extremely well-equipped and roomy kitchen with a long banquet type wooden table, an upstairs room to lounge with gas fireplace, a downstairs lounging room with gas fireplace and TV, and a downstairs fully enclosed outdoor room if the weather is bad. Each of the rooms will fit your entire group. Two grocery stores a few minutes away, several restaurants nearby, and a large lake with a hiking/running trail all make it easy to stay a long time. And hiking trails such as Mouse Creek Falls and others offer opportunities to enjoy the outdoors without driving further to some more well known trails in the area (my wife and I hike quite a bit in Jackson Hole and Mouse Creek Falls will remain a memorable walk because of its proximity to the rushing stream, especially since you can literally go as far as you want past the falls). The best compliment I can give is that my wife and I are already scheming when we can return next year and who we will invite to join us.
