The property was beautiful and we loved the surrounding landscape. There was plenty of space for my niece and nephews to have their time away from the adults. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, local trails and the seeing various wildlife. The city has a pretty good restaurant called J. Arthurs, which is about 5mins away from the cabin. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. I would like to come back next year, if possible.
We loved the cabin! In addition to it being well decorated for fall, a welcome card and a unique fall cookie gift in the refrigerator, it had everything we needed to cook with and enjoy a few days away from work. It was very clean, the hot tub was wonderful after a day exploring and hiking. The decks all had wonderful views too. The driveway is a bit tricky at first; but once you get the 'hang of it' it is easy to get in and out.
We recommend this cabin!!
From the owner: "Thank you for the kind words, Melinda. We have a fabulous local crew that helps us with the upkeep of our home. We are happy to hear you and your party enjoyed our home as much as we do when we go up there! We hope to host you again! Thanks for choosing to stay with us!"
This cabin has everything we needed for the week! It was in a great central location to lots of hiking trails, waterfalls and Maggie Valley had some excellent restaurants. We were all very comfortable with the space and amenities provided. Would definitely come back!!
From The Owner: "Thank you for the great feedback! We were happy to host your family! We hope to host you again soon!"
The home was a easy to find, however the roads are narrow so if you have a large vehicle be prepared. The house is beautiful, however from the pictures I made some assumptions about the layout of the house, I should have called but be aware: Master suite with ensuite batchroom is on the top floor along with another full bathroom, ground level floor is living/kitchen and half bath: basement level has 2 small bedrooms with a bathroom to share. I had expected for each couple to have a bedroom on each floor, for more privacy and no need to share a bathroom. Also the beds are very uncomfortable, they are hard and have awful plastic covers on the mattress that make you sweat. I hate to be negative I wanted to love the house but the sleeping arrangements and bathroom sharing were not what I expected and the beds being so hard with the cheap plastic mattress cover made this stay only Okay for us. The view and home are beautiful but the sleeping arrangements made this a not again for me again. On a positve note the people that manage the property were great, very helpful and communicated well.

From the owner: "We sincerely apologize we did not meet your expectations. In our listing, it does not in any way suggest each bedroom has its own ensuite. Regarding the mattress covers, they are a necessity in any rental for hygiene purposes. Again, we apologize your experience was not as you and your party had hoped for."
The cabin was very comfortable & cozy. Had all we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub In evening after hikes. Would definitely come back to LA Purchase. Loved it.
