• Great Property close to the Beach

  This townhome is a great stay! Very comfortable and well equipped. Great for a family with kids as there is a room specifically designed with kids in mind and away from the common spaces. Kitchen is really well equipped and made making dinner easy. Plenty of chairs for the beach and a nice easy walk. Be ready for the stairs! They are rather narrow and there are 14 between each level. However the close proximity to the beach and the easy walk makes the stairs all worthwhile!

  Enjoyed Emerald Isle as we have in the past. This condo did meet our needs. Seems to need a good cleaning top to bottom. Other than a few issues we addressed in an email, it was satisfactory. We appreciated the baby gates at both sets of stairs.

• Fantastic Location

  Location, location, location. The property is in an ideal location; close to the beach, grocery stores, restaurants, and paved trail. It is equipped nicely with amenities to enjoy the beach life (bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc). The bedrooms are quite spacious, as well as the closets, and the balconies were my favorite feature of the property (the view from the master bedroom balcony is lovely). The space is set up nicely to accommodate two families, with one family on the ground floor, one family on the third floor, and the living space in between (second floor). We visited off season (late October) and enjoyed the low key, laid back vibe of Emerald Isle, where we could walk on or sit on the beach and not have to fight crowds. Something to note, the stairs (both inside and outside) are steep and narrow, which might prove difficult for some to navigate. However, the owners are mindful of children (and pets) and have installed permanent baby gates on each set of inside stairs. It also appears housekeeping needs to increase their attention to detail. There was a baking sheet with food crumbs in the oven, random objects under the furniture, and a residue of dirt on the ceiling in the kitchen directly outside the vent. The sliding glass door in the living room needed cleaned, which we did on our own, because it was cloudy with large letters written across the glass (probably written by a child). Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a pleasant place.

  The check-in and check-out process was very simple. The condo was in a gated community and very simple to find. The inside was very well keep up to date. It could use a little more detailed cleaning but nothing to worry about. The view of the ocean is beautiful from the balconies and just a few steps to get to. It was not crowded and the weather was amazing for this time of year in the fall. The neighbors in the other condos were super friendly. So our stay couldn't have been much better than it was. We will definitely be returning.

• First visit to Emerald Isle

  Our first visit to Emerald Isle did not disappoint and I can not wait to go back. What a beautiful piece of paradise. A great vibe and awesome food. The condo was as advertised and really nice. I do think it is an older building but had nice new flooring. It was convenient to everything we needed. I may rethink 3 levels in the future. Overall the condo was clean and had plenty of towels etc. There were some spots that could have used a better cleaning for the large cleaning fee. (The air vents and doorways etc) Also the bathrooms could use a little extra care or sprucing up. Just little things I noticed but did not make me feel like the place was “dirty”. But overall I would recommend this place to others. And would visit again. Enjoy your stay.
