Relaxed, peaceful, pleasantly cool, embedded in nature. Day trip into Boothbay for kayaking. Wiscasset for notorious Red's Eats line and lobster rolls. Evening and rainy afternoon family time in and around the cabin were among the highlights of our stay in Maine.

From the owner: "Thank you for sharing your experience. For some, our location seems to be off the grid, honestly remote & away from traditional crowded touristy areas, yet a 20-30 minute drive to great destinations is ideal. For guests like you who appreciate our location the other way around, this is typical Maine driving & vacation destination lifestyle. Hidden cottages & cabins along the water, shoreline, or wooded areas embedded in nature. Thank you for staying with us."
Seating furniture was not comfy. It is not suited for elderly or tall people. As this is kinda a remote location, this was an issue. We are coffee people so coffee pot was not freindly. Beds were ok. Location is good if you are not going to venture out.

From the owner: "Thankful for the kind review. We are transparent with what we can offer and all are posted online including pictures of the furniture. The wood sofa is a special couch intended to be low to blend with the rustic recycled interior of our humble cabin. We understand that we didn't have the top-of-the-line coffee maker and had only a 3-4 cup coffee maker and one manual 'carafe' kind. We are not a 5-star hotel but we tried in our little way to provide what we can humbly offer and that's very transparent with our honest postings online. We upgraded our coffee maker earlier this month to a stainless programmable 10-cup coffee maker. We do include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the home prior to booking, but we apologize that this caught you off guard and it did not meet your personal preferences.
May you have more happy adventures!"
We enjoyed this cabin and all that it had to offer. From its beautiful views of the river and surrounding woods to the attention to detail by the host. Great place to get away!
