  • Great Condo… Horrible communication


    We arrived at the condo shortly after 8pm after a 5 hour drive. We were exhausted and ready to hit the bed. The address takes you to the Condo Complex, however, none of the individual buildings are marked, so we had no idea which building was building “E”. After several attempts at guessing which building was the correct one, we entered the code provided for the lobby, but the door was deadbolted, so the door would not open. We called our Guest Contact, Phillip, at the number provided and he promptly told us “it’s kinda late” and hung up on us. We tried calling back several times and got no answer. Frustrated, tired, and angry, we called Evolve directly and told them the situation. Amy from Evolve was very sympathetic, but was unable to help us with our issue through no fault of her own or Evolves. Luckily, a neighbor pulled in and helped us with the deadbolt issue. The condo is very nice, but was not cleaned (used bar of soap with pubic hair, wax spots on the floors, etc) and we were further frustrated by the fact that we had to pay a cleaning fee when nothing had been cleaned. Renters of this condo should be advised that buildings are not marked, condo will likely not be clean upon arrival, and if you have issues or emergencies, the Guest Contact will not help you.

We understand how important communication is to our guests and we will follow up with our Guest Contact to ensure future guests do not share the same experience.
    - We've confirmed that the Evolve pre-stay email was sent to you before your arrival, which included detailed check-in instructions and other information about the property. We encourage guests to check their email and spam folders. Evolve is also available 24/7 for any questions or concerns.
    - We want all of our guests to find the perfect vacation rental for their stay, so we take the accuracy of our listings seriously. We appreciate your feedback and have updated our pre-stay emails that include the check-in details to state: ‘Upon entrance to the community, building “E” is located all the way to the right.’
    - We do use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed addressing. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.
    - While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we are happy to share that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend.

    This was a great condo. Fully equipped. Nice pool on the lake. Clean and comfortable. Quiet. It all worked! Loved the Golden Tee Arcade game in the condo. My guests loved it. Nice touch. I rented a different property from this company Evolve last year and it was just as nice last year. Highly recommend. Will do again.
