nice house in the woods

Beautiful & Clean with a Great Location
4/5 I took my dog & 2 friends for a relaxing work retreat in Ellijay. The house is conveniently located to downtown and is more secluded than it appears in the exterior pictures (at least in the summer). I specifically chose it because of it's light and airy look, which is difficult to find in the area at this price point. It's also about 30 minutes to Carter Lake, which is one of my favorite spots in the area. The house was beautiful, comfortable & clean. The downstairs master suite features a large bath with shower, and a gigantic walk in closet with plenty of shelving and hanging space. They provided coffee, a few snacks, more spices than I've seen in previous rentals, a box of pasta & pasta sauce in case you hadn't been to the store when you arrive, a couple of condiments in the fridge (although I cannot say for sure they had not been left by previous renters), as well as several rolls of TP, paper towels & cleaning supplies.
Cons:
-I expected there would be a hair dryer provided and there was not.
-It was my fault for not noticing in the pictures, but there is no kitchen table in the house. The only place to eat other than on the couch is at the 3 bar stools at the kitchen island.
-Keep in mind there is no large pot or skillet for cooking.
-The chair shown at the one desk was missing, which was disappointing since we'd booked this intentionally as a work retreat.
-The upstairs bathroom & bedroom lack storage space. There is only a rod in the closet, with no dresser, or drawers of any kind in the room, and there are no luggage racks, so it's difficult to keep your room tidy.
-If you have small children or an active dog, be mindful that the property has a steep slope along that right side of the house that could be a hazard.
Overall these "cons" were minor inconveniences at most, and I would both recommend the house, and consider renting it again for future stays.

5/5 The house is beautifully decorated and feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect, only a short drive from all the local attractions and amenities! Can’t wait to be back!
