  • The perfect family vacation house!

Old Sassa House was absolutely an incredible slice of Homosassa! We have been coming for the 6 years to Homosassa and this property has by far been the best. Great property managers with quick responses to everything and more than accommodating owners. We will be rebooking this property for the following year!

  • Relaxing

The property was clean. View is spectacular. It's in a very secluded location. If you travel there in the summer, bring big spray. They had 2 kayaks, a canoe, and 2 bikes you could use. We had a very relaxing stay there.

  • Absolutely Beautiful Place

This is my family's second trip to this property in2022. It's an absolute gem of a property and we can't wait to return. The house is very spacious, has loads of modern amenities, and is very comfortable. The land is beautiful with lots of space. There is an adjacent State Park that has a nice but short walking trail that is not to be missed. We saw abundant wildlife - birds, snakes, deer, etc. The house location feels remote and very relaxing, but is close to all of the regional amenities like fishing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming. I can't think of anything that I would change about this property. We hope to be back again really soon. Brooke is a super nice and thoughtful hostess. Thanks, Brooke!

  • Amazing Property!

We flew into Tampa from Charleston, SC after long delays, so by time we got our rental car and got to the property, it was 9:30PM. Imagine our surprise when we woke up to a gorgeous sunrise over all this beautiful water! The home itself is charming, spacious and very comfortable. It was just the 2 of us so we only used the master bedroom but the bed was luxuriously plush and cozy. We loved having our morning coffee on the dock, where a group of curious otters swam up and checked us out on our first day! And we spent every evening with a cocktail or glass of wine in the amazing gazebo and on the deck enjoying the bright moon, endless stars and absolute peace and quiet. We had so many things that we wanted to do in the area so we didn't take advantage of the canoes or bikes provided- next time we will! Old Homosassa offered lots of opportunity for exploration of the spectacular landscape and the fresh seafood offerings were endless! It's a great location for day trips to nearby towns such as Crystal River (awesome kayaking), Floral City & Inverness. We just found the whole Old Florida's "Nature Coast" a nature lovers' and seafood lovers' dream. We are already planning a trip back in the summer for scallop season and will look no further than Old Sassa House for our accommodations. It's an amazing property!

  • Absolutely beautiful venue

My family and I stayed at the Old Homosassa House for a week. We are very familiar with this area, and even so we were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of this property. The house is very spacious and has lots of modern amenities - smart TV, great wifi, well-stocked kitchen, large refrigerator and freezer, washer/dryer, super comfortable beds with nice linens. The property itself is spectacular. It's isolated, adjacent to a State Park that has a lovely short path for exploring, bird watching, daily walks, etc. The wetlands surrounding the house have plenty of wildlife and act as a great buffer from nearby properties. Our hostess Brooke was tremendous. She was available when we needed her, always concerned that we had everything we might need, and a great communicator. This is a top notch place for a family stay! Very highly recommended.
