    Clean, well organized, and well appointed home. The AWD/4WD vehicle requirement is not a joke - the home is at the end of a steep unpaved road.

    Loved the property and all the amenities included with the place. Will say that you most likely need a vehicle with 4-wheel drive capabilities for the driveway up the side of the mountain with sharp switchbacks. Not necessarily a dangerous driveway but without the proper vehicle you are not making it to the cabin.

    Road leading to rental "insane". Couldn't drive up, owner used snow side-by-side to get us up to home. Stuck at house no access to our car. Couldn't walk down mountain because of snow with luggage. ( 1 mile where we had to leave our car) Large binder with Rules by property owner. Notes everywhere to remind you.

    Idelia and Scott, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay. We were surprised to read your comments, especially considering the efforts we made to ensure your comfort during your visit, particularly on Christmas Eve.

    Upon your arrival, we noted the challenges posed by your BMW X1 equipped with high-performance street tires, unsuitable for the snowy conditions and steep terrain leading to our property. Despite this, we plowed the road and assisted in transporting both you and your luggage to the house. We also arranged for neighbors to help with transportation to your car and delivered groceries to you. When you requested an early departure and a partial refund, we promptly accommodated your request.

    Regarding the notes around the property, these are in place to enhance your stay and protect both you and the house. Our property sits on 15 acres adjacent to a National Forest, hosting an array of wildlife including moose, deer, turkeys, and foxes. The reminders to keep doors closed are to prevent these animals from entering the home. The note on the TV regarding the Fire Stick and others on Alexa-enabled devices are to assist guests in using these amenities effectively and to prevent common issues we've encountered in the past.

    The bathroom notices about well usage are vital for maintaining the property’s plumbing and ensuring a consistent water supply. We've found that these advisories are necessary as they address frequent problems caused by guests unfamiliar with rural property maintenance.

    Our guest book, with laminated pages, provides a warm welcome and valuable information about the area, local services, eateries, and activities. It also explains certain house rules crucial for a smooth stay, like guidelines on grease disposal, well water conservation, and non-smoking policies. We aim to make this information as clear and accessible as possible, with large fonts and even a touch of humor through Farside cartoons.

    A day before your arrival, we sent out a welcome message reiterating much of this information to ensure you are well-prepared for your stay. Our goal is always to ensure that our guests have an enjoyable, hassle-free experience, especially those new to staying in a rural setting.

    We appreciate your stay with us and hope that the measures we take for guest comfort and property maintenance enhance your overall experience.

    Based on prior reviews, we prepared for the worst with the driveway. We got an AWD SUV and had no trouble at all. Can't say what it would be like in heavy rain or snow, but it was fine for our stay. Typical mountain road. The house was great. Clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. Patio was wonderful with nice grill, gas fire pit, beautiful view. Highly recommend.
