  • Perfect weekend with family

    5/5

We had a great time staying here! Our sons love to bike and run on the trails. This was the perfect starting line for their daytime trips to Rocky Mountain National Park.

We chartered a Grand Lake fishing trip with Kirks fishing. We caught some keeper trout and cooked them in the thoroughly appointed kitchen.

It was a glorious stay and in an otherworldly view was punctuated by a large moose that took a bath in the pond below us.

Highly recommend this spot, especially for families wanting to be together while having their own secluded space in the house.

    3/5

The house is big and space is plentiful-and the private fishing pond out front is spectacular! We caught big fish and lots of them out of there. We VERY MUCH APPRECIATED being allowed to check in 2 hours early! However,The price is way higher than it should be for what the house is. And the fact that they charge a “cleaning fee” is laughable because whoever is “cleaning” isn’t doing a very good job. Also, for the price- All the stuff in the house should work properly. As stated, place wasn’t very clean for one- dusty and crumbs everywhere, and the basement smelled like cat or something similar. There are lots of…. quirks. All the stove burners don’t work, the hot and cold water are switched, no stove light, the hot water in the master sink doesn’t even work, the freezer drawer constantly pops out making it tough to close, the WiFi and the tv are both finicky. the lighting is not great inside. The fireplace is nice, but there is no AC. The blatant pandering for reviews by the owners in light of everything was annoying too—- you’ll see what I mean when you stay there. The proximity to Grand Lake is great but is right off the highway so it’s kinda loud and the neighbors in the apartment that’s right there are nosy and bothersome to deal with. In the end you’re paying for proximity to Grand Lake, the pond out front, and a fairly large place to sleep just so you know what you’re getting.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Roger, we’re so glad you enjoyed the spacious property and private fishing pond, but we’re sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following:
    - We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. We have contacted them to relay this feedback, ensuring that the property maintains our cleanliness standards for future guests. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed addressing. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.
    - We were not previously made aware of the water issue related to it being backward, and we have not encountered this problem ourselves. The concern regarding the water in the primary bathroom was only recently brought to our attention, and we have scheduled repairs to address it between guests. While one stove burner has recently stopped working, the other three are operating correctly. Additionally, we have not received any complaints about the freezer/fridge drawer.
    - Given the cool mountain climate, it's important to note that neither our property nor most in this area are equipped with A/C. Our listing accurately reflects this, along with the proximity to the highway. We strongly encourage guests to carefully review the listing before booking to ensure they choose a vacation rental that aligns with their specific needs and expectations.
    - The house remains comfortably cool when guests open the windows. Additionally, almost every bedroom and living rooms are equipped with ceiling fans to further enhance ventilation and comfort.
    - While we haven't received any prior complaints about odors in the basement, we take such concerns seriously. We have asked our property manager to investigate and address this matter to ensure that any potential issues are promptly resolved.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

  • Excellent stay

    5/5

This is a great location! Just a couple miles from the RMNP where we seen Elk and Moose about everyday! Very close to the Lakes for boating and fishing. The house was very comfortable and spacious enough for my family. Both the owners and house keeper, Sonja were easy to get ahold of and very accommodating! Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟

  • Amazing!

    5/5

What a gorgeous, spacious, cozy, retreat. We loved our experience and were so impressed by all of thoughtful little touches like the fun signs in each room, the games and puzzles available, the binder with great ideas for things to do in the area, and the cookbooks in the kitchen. It was well stocked, clean and organized. We were snowed in for most of the weekend, but were able to get away to snowshoe in RMNP and go snowtubing at the Nordic center- both only a few minutes away!we will be back!

  • The Trip was wonderful

    5/5

We enjoyed the rental house The top area felt so good , the middle and bottom floor was cold even with the electric heater .. During the snow days as people from all over the country comes to enjoy the snow .. The only problem we had was getting stuck in the driveway with all the snow , we missed a day of going out bcuz we were stuck .. The property owner should have someone come to clear the pathway for your rentals while they are staying on the property.. We called around the area and they wanted $250-$300 just to help move our vehicle… We used the shovel and poured the salt , we saw a man plowing in the other area so my husband walked over to him and asked if he could help us and that’s how we got to leave out and enjoy New Year Day, other than that everything was wonderful Thanks again Malessa
