  This is a good cabin. The views are beautiful. Yes, as you will read in other reviews they could do with a little maintenance. The firepit you see in the pics that is brick and round actually goes with the house next-door, the firepit with this cabin in over grown and because of that it is hard to get to and the benches do not look sturdy. If you wanted to cook big meals during your stay, this is not your cabin. The stove has two burners, and the oven works well. The fridge is weird but it keeps the food cold. But we were on vacation and didn't plan on cooking a lot. I would stay here again in a heart beat, because of the views alone. We watched sunset every night on the upper deck. I love the Grand Lake area, and you are close to everything. If it was icy I am not sure how well I would have been able to take the truck up the driveway to the street. It is a nice cabin for a couple to stay in. Not for a big group. The spiral staircase is how you get to the bedroom, the only bedroom, so if you have mobility issues, this isn't the best place for you to stay.

  First off. Very cute cabin! They have a TV in the living room, the couch folds into a bed. There's a separate bedroom upstairs (mind you the stairs are steep and curly). There's also a small loft area with two twin mattresses. I personally like to watch a movie in bed on vacation and highly encourage they add a TV in the bedroom itself.

  They have a few cooking basics (oil, sugar, salt, pepper) and a coffee pot with coffee (no creamer provided though you'll want to grab some.) (Coffee pot filter was filthy, dont forget to check this when cleaning) I couldn't figure out how to use the fireplace - some direction would be nice If this can be used or not and how so.

  My biggest complaints and the reason for 4 stars is that the carpet on the main floor has stains and smells like dogs and dog pee pretty bad, I didn't want to walk on it without shoes.. needs deep cleaned badly! Second, the clear shower curtain upstairs is so old and nasty it stinks like wet dog which is likely from bacteria.

  Lastly. Agree with other reviews, the firepit area needs cleaned up, even weeded with some gravel will go a long way! Also to note they provided a small bundle of wood here. I didn't know and brought my own which we didn't use so left neatly for the next guest.

  Please take care of the carpet smell, if so, would definitely stay again.

• The great grand lake

  Beds were fine, kitchen amenities were fine. Sad thing is we wanted to use the fire pit. Had to completely clean the area out of grass and weeds that were severely overgrown. And the Wifi..... It was almost non existent. And was needed to make plans as our service was poor. Kinda expensive when you don't have those things that Coloradans and ones from outta state should expect when staying in Colorado.

• Loved the little cabin

  Everything was great about our stay. There is issues with wifi and we used the fire pit, but had to clean the area around from overgrown grass. Would stay here again.

  The cabin was nice and clean and comfy. Thought it was within walking distance to lake but wasn't as close as it appeared on the VRBO photos. Still, did not disappoint. We loved staying here.
