  • Peaceful Getaway

    5/5

This was the perfect getaway during the hectic Thanksgiving week. The cabin is cozy and well-stocked and is located on a secluded property with mountain views. We took our dogs on walks, lit roaring fires in the fireplace, cooked, and relaxed with books and Netflix as the temps dropped and it snowed. Highly recommend!

  • Honeymoon in Cripple Creek

    4/5

The stay was wonderful. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Clean bedding, clean dishes, plenty of clean towels and wash rags too. When we arrived, the housekeeping lady was just finishing up and she was very friendly and helpful and even let us know some helpful tips about the area. There could have been times for a bigger refrigerator but the mini fridge still worked out well with us staying for 5 nights. The location was a little confusing to get to, but that’s mostly on our part as the instructions were clear; we just weren’t used to Colorado and it’s county roads. Overall the stay was very nice and would recommend this location to anyone wanting a relaxing cabin retreat.

  • Beautiful Cabin & Nature, Limited Resources

    4/5

    Pros:

The cabin is well taken care of. The surroundings are beautiful. Lots of livestock and critters, but we loved it. Great views. Bed was clean and comfy. Bathroom was clean & had hot water/good water pressure. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the nature. Dog-friendly! The host did a great job giving us directions to the cabin, we did not get lost.

    Cons:

The lighting in the cabin was very poor. Half of the lightbulbs were out. The kitchen utensils could use some updating as the options were a little limited. We were expecting easier terrain than what it actually was. We basically "hiked" around the house due to the rocks and hills. It was beautiful, we just weren't expecting it. Some of the amenities/instructions might be for the bigger cabin up the hill, because some of the things listed were not in our cabin. The surrounding towns are very small and very local, which is nice, but also hard when you are traveling and forget things (so don't do that). It is remote, but there are some tiny homes and a barn within walking distance up the hill, so it's not completely remote.

The cabin was great for our first trip to the mountains. I would recommend a slightly bigger fridge (it has a mini fridge) due to how remote the surrounding towns are. We planned to cook at the house a few nights and barely had enough room for the few things we brought. Overall, great stay!

We had a blast staying in this cabin! So beautiful inside and out plus has everything you could want or need. Kids had a blast throwing the axe and staying in the loft. Definitely will be back!
