  • Nice place, but could use some love.

    The location is convenient to get around town, but pretty rough. There is an alley right next to the driveway where a homeless man was constantly. He was nice, but also half naked the majority of the time and sleeping within 5 feet of our car, so we weren't totally at ease. The driveway is a little rough to get in and out because of the heavy outward swinging gate and the busy street right next to it.

    The garden/yard area has lots of lovely plants and nooks to sit in and relax, however, beware that the walkway within the yard is very narrow and not flat if you need to bring anything large inside or have a wheelchair.

    What was a little shocking upon arrival was the amount of dust on every surface, cobwebs in obvious places, and grime on the floor. I would not have really minded all too much if there wasn't also a cleaning fee + a request from owner to clean those exact things up before leaving.

    Also, 10am checkout is a bit early if you expect any sort of cleaning of your property to happen.

    The instructional booklet in the home is nice and helpful, but I might recommend sprucing it up a bit. For example the WIFI password was handwritten and it took an unnecessarily long time trying to decipher what it said when it could have easily been typed out and printed.

    Lastly, there was only a half roll of cheap TP in the bathroom which ran out before our last day. There was none to be found anywhere else in the house! Very disappointing, considering the price we paid to be here..
