• Northern Virginia House in the Country

  I recently stayed at this great house in Leesburg, Virginia for a girls week of fun. The house had wonderful views of the Northern Virginia countryside from the deck . The kitchen was large and had plenty of seating for preparing meals and talking. There are two different outdoor areas to enjoy one is screened in. The bedrooms were a good size and had comfortable mattresses. The owner was very responsive to our needs and requests while staying on the property. The nearby town of Leesburg has lots of great restaurants and a historic district. There are also wineries and many horse farms in the area.

• Not what we expected

  This house was ok for the most part. There were little things that need repair but nothing that affected our stay.

  What we thought was uncomfortable was that the landlord and her groundskeeper live on the property and the houses are within a few feet of each other. That felt strange as we've never stayed in a home where we felt like we were being watched. The 2nd night we were there, we had family over - we let the landlord know as there was not much parking. She said she wished she knew that in advance (we didnt think we would have to clear our plans with anyone). We haven't seen the family in 20 years and we were up until about 4am hanging out so we had them just stay (the house is pretty far out in the woods with no street lights and very dark so we thought it was safer to have them stay). We didn't think it would be a big deal since the house is huge and has 4 king beds. In our mind, we thought 2 people per bed. The landlord messaged us 1st thing in the morning telling us the max occupancy is 6 etc (the max occupancy is listed in the ad for the home but we missed that and we're just thinking since there are 4 kings = 8 people and didn't think it would be a big deal since they were there visiting so late). So we just really felt like we did not have any privacy and ended up leaving all day the 2nd day because we were so frustrated that we spent alot of money on a house that we couldn't have anyone over to.

  Definitely will not stay again however it would possibly be a good fit for an older couple that possibly isn't worried about having people over, hanging out, etc.

  -We understand your concerns about privacy and the presence of the owner and groundskeeper on the property. However, we’d like to clarify that the home is located on a 20-acre property, and we live a good distance away. I split my time between Florida and Virginia, and we're only on-site occasionally except for our helper for necessary maintenance all around our 20-acre property. In fact, guests since our opening have never raised concerns about privacy.
  -Regarding the occupancy issue, we must adhere to the maximum limit for safety reasons. Your reservation initially indicated one adult, and we were unaware of the significant larger group until after check-in. Our goal was simply to ensure proper accommodations and parking for your family.

• Wonderful Stay

  The owner's were great hosts. We met at check in and they gave us a quick tour. They also checked in on us via text to make sure everything was up to expectations. The pictures don't lie, it is a beautiful property and a nice house for a group. We didn't have issues with bugs like others were saying. Would book again!

• Somewhat depressed

  The home had many problems. The guest bathroom toilet is loose from the floor. The shower didn't work. The hot water wasn't hot. The outlets in most of the rooms weren't attached to the walls and wiring was exposed because of that. The lights in the master bedroom didn't work over the bed. They had two pans to cook with. Our experience was horrible and will never recommend this house to anyone!! In addition the pictures are not what they make you think you're paying for. The property needs a lot of work before its used again in our opinion. When you first walk in the home it looks okay until you start using Electricity and bathrooms.

  - Regarding the cookware, we have a complete set in nearby drawers and cabinets, and we would have been more than happy to point this out or provide any additional items you may have needed.
  - Previous guests have utilized our kitchen extensively for full-time cooking and hosting holiday dinners.
  - We are pleased to share that the showers are working well with hot water. The guest bathroom was renovated last summer, and the water heater was replaced early last year to ensure a comfortable experience for our guests.
  - We have received positive feedback from many guests who enjoyed the two double showers in the guest bath with the skylight.
  - While we did stand by for any questions during your stay, we understand that your experience didn't meet your expectations.
  - We want to assure you that we take your concerns seriously. For example, we will fix any loose parts in the toilet tank.
  - Your input is valuable, and we are committed to making necessary improvements to enhance the overall experience for our guests.

• Beautiful Property!

  This beautiful property was available last minute surprisingly since it was the holidays but I was able to save Christmas because of it! On top of that the property was absolutely breathtaking! The view from the tower was simply amazing! We loved the extra features like a massage chair which was a hit with the whole family! The house was more than spacious and accommodated my family of 12! There’s a hot tub, washer and dryer and 2 decks to hang out on! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and even had a keurig. The smart refrigerator which had a TV was a hit with the kids. The hosts were very friendly and quick to respond to my messages. I even left some clothes in the dryer and they offered to mail them to me free of charge! I will definitely be going back when I’m in the area! We definitely had a magical Christmas there which me and my family will never forget!
