• Great place for a small family on a budget

  We really enjoyed our stay at Anchors Aweigh. The beach is very close (2 min walk) and there was a hose and nozzle to spray the sand off upon return. Red Snapper Inn and the coffee shop trailer are a short walk away as well. The house itselft is cozy and comfortable. The 3 window units were pretty new and did a great job of keeping things cool. The internet was fast and there were TVs in each bedroom along with a large one in the living room. We were able to do everything we wanted while there and enjoyed eating on the deck at sunset.The water pressure in the shower is fairly low, but we really appreciated the reverse osmosis water system in the kitchen. Surfside s water needs to be filtered prior to consumption and that's the best way to do it.We had a great time and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks to all involved with our stay.

• Horrible experience

  To start off the pictures look great but once you get there the house is falling apart. It started with us checking in at 4pm like it says on check in instructions. When we showed up there was a lady still “cleaning” (notices the quotations because nobody cleaned or sanitized that house before we got there all they did was take trash out and put the bedding stuff). The house was full of dog hair cause I swept as soon as the house keeping left. In a corner I guess they had started to sweep and left the sand and dust on the floor. The property manager still called and acussed me of going in early and putting food in the fridge which we never even entered the house. So that meant nobody ever cleaned the house you just confit it for me. There were god toys cigarette box in the table outside confirmation #2 nobody cleaned. To top it off the filter to the water for the home was disgusting it was moldy and dark green it was so bad the pressure for the water inside the house was so slow you could barely take a shower! They sent someone to change it and fix it the second day there but for what we already go contaminated hopefully not. This was such a horrible experience and to be honest if it was just me and my husband I wouldn’t mind we had children and I did not feel like my kid couldn’t comfortably be around the house I was so scared they could catch something it was so dirty in there.
