• Lacks amenities and has ants

  House looks as pictured, but amenities were not as listed. We had no bath towels, soap, shampoo, no dish washer detergent. No dish towels. No trash cans. Stove worked but oven does not. Primary bathroom was awesome, beds were comfortable. Not sure the place was clean. All beds looked disheveled and sand in the top bunk.

  No coffee cups or filters. TV works but has bad sound.

  I contacted the contact before we arrived and was contacted back but when I contacted the contact while there asking for bath towels I got no response.

  Also has an ant problem. They were all over the kitchen drapes and counters near the coffee pot. Lots of them not just a few.

  Has construction debris all over. Ladders, and empty caulk containers

  Looks nice online, but not ready.

• Avoid Until It is Rental Ready

  We rented this because it was the last property available in the Freeport area for Memorial Day. This property should never have been put up for rental. While it may be nice one day, once it has been properly supplied, our experience was the worst. There was no hot water. There was no ability to heat food, as the oven was broken, and there was no microwave. When we arrived, there were 4 boxes on the counter. A box with 8 glasses, a box with 3 pots and pans, a box with a 5 cup coffee maker, and a box with 4 plates, 4 bowls, and 4 smaller plates. There were no trash cans, no working garbage disposal, no working washer and dryer, no toilet paper, the refrigerator, toilets and bathtub were filthy. The couch was stained, one of the beds was stained with no mattresspads The unit was clearly redone, but it should never have been listed for rent. It needs so many items that are expected at a VRBO property. The internet did not work, but the rental company gave us back $50 for that inconvenience. They also agreed not to charge us a $270 cleaning fee because it was so disgusting. My wife and I had to spend 3 hours cleaning it, and we would have left, had we not been 4 hours away. It truly has potential to be a nice place, but we should be given a full refund for what we had to endure on our vacation. When you cant heat up food, have no working washer dryer, disposal, no hot water, it is not rental ready.
