  • Great landlord but not good experience.

    I have experienced numerous problems, and I feel these issues must be addressed immediately. When I first rented the house, I was not informed about the ongoing construction. I had to carry my three large suitcases from a distant parking spot to the house in the midday heat because I was informed at the last minute that the road was closed.

    Upon my arrival, the house was not clean. There were numerous dead bugs and mosquitoes on the carpet, and the bed sheets were not clean at all. The number of mosquitoes and bugs is unbelievable; they have bitten me all over, and my whole body itches. It seems there hasn’t been adequate pest control in the garden.

    Another major issue was being locked out at 4 a.m. because the digital lock malfunctioned. We had to enter the house by opening a window, which is incredibly unsafe. Additionally, there is no washing machine, dryer, or iron in the house—basic amenities that should be provided. The shower is extremely small; even though I am not a large person, I barely fit. The shower also does not drain properly, making it very difficult to use.

    Overall, my stay has been completely disappointing. I was very understanding at first, but this is too much, and I did not deserve this treatment as a client. You have made promises to address these issues but have done nothing except wait in front of the door to see if I would leave.

    I visit Dallas frequently, and unfortunately, I can say this is the worst place I have stayed in Dallas. I am reaching out privately in the hope that you will resolve these issues promptly. If these problems are not addressed, I will have no choice but to share my experience publicly to ensure that no other guest has to endure what I have faced.

    Hi Ibrahim, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowners after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - The street construction was unexpected as it had been delayed multiple times, and we were not notified it would occur on your check-in date. We regret the inconvenience it caused during your arrival and are pleased to share that the construction is now completed.
    - Our cleaner let us know that you requested an early check-in due to your flight arrival. We had just had a guest check out, so we rushed to get the property ready for you. We apologize if some areas were missed. All cleanliness issues were promptly addressed once notified.
    - We use a professional pest control company that sprays quarterly to protect the home from pests. We haven't received any comments about pest issues before or after your stay.
    - The lock worked well until the 4th day of your stay when you reported an issue. We promptly came over, helped you access the house, reprogrammed the lock, and provided a new code that worked for the rest of your visit. We’ve since taken steps to prevent future issues and plan to replace the lock once our current guest checks out.
    - While the listing doesn’t advertise a washer or dryer, we offered the use of the main house's facilities as a gesture of hospitality. We also provided you with an iron and board that are now available for future guests.
    - The size of the shower is shown in the listing images, so guests know what to expect. We encourage reviewing the listing in full before booking to ensure the property meets your needs.
    - The shower drainage issue has been fully resolved to enhance the guest experience.
    - We provided an industry-standard refund for the inconveniences you encountered during your visit.
    We appreciate your feedback and are committed to ensuring a great experience for all our guests.

  • Great location, great host!

    I stayed in this property for nearly a month and had a great experience. The location is great (walkable to lots of bars / restaurants, but still in a quiet neighborhood) and the host was super responsive to all of my questions. Will definitely stay again!
