    Our overall stay was very good, this condo could use a little maintenance. The door was very difficult to open and close. The door on the kids bedroom did not latch properly and lock. Also the sliding door by the balcony did not lock at all. The kitchen had the bare minimum when it came to utensils. A ladle would have been nice. There was also not enough toilet paper for a week stay. The condo itself was very clean and nicely decorated. Wifi in the whole resort was very slow and cell service was hit or miss. We did have a very nice stay although the 3 flights of stairs are not for the faint in the South Carolina heat. We had an issue with the lock on the front door and it was very difficult to find a proper phone number to call someone. When we messaged the host we did not receive a return message. We tried to help out and change the batteries in the door lock but that was not the problem. The local representative was 2 hours away and not able to come help us with the problem. We ended up leaving a day early because we did not feel safe leaving the unit unlocked while we went out.

    A comfortable stay for your time away. Hilton Head is my favorite place to go and this listing did not disappoint. Accessible to everything on the island at a reasonable cost, the lagoon views were fantastic. Looking forward to heading back.

  • BEWARE!!!



    First let me start off with this, the condo was just ok. It was clean. It’s located in an ok resort. You have a lagoon view.


    There was a LOT that it lacked.

    Lots of things in the original listing we booked were broken or non functioning. When we reached out to the owner they were not apologetic at all, instead stating that they had updated the listing (months AFTER we had already booked and paid) and that if we didn’t like it we could go find a room at the Marriot (yes this was literally the first text interaction I had with this lady).

    Some of the negatives about it are out of the owners control:

    1. The walls are thin and the room smelled like smoke if anyone in another unit was smoking either in their room or balcony.

    2. The cell service on this resort is TERRIBLE which is a big issue if you are planning on working remotely.

    But a lot of the bad things about the unit are 100% within the owners control:

    - the washer and dryer are non functional

    - the keyless entry doesn’t work (I had to go to the hardware store and get physical keys made)

    - there is a dvd player in the tv console but no cords to connect it to the tv

    - the light bulb over the sink is gone so no kitchen lights

    - the sliding balcony door is old and doesn’t lock

    - a coat rack shelf was attatched directly to drywall without anchors and of course when my kid hung his book bag on it it ripped out of the wall and fell on him.

    - Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent stay at our condo. We would like to clarify a few points to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the situation.
    - Prior to your stay, we notified you twice that the washer/dryer in the unit was not available due to damage. We provided you with information about the resort's new commercial machines which are nearby, allowing you time to further explore other options if this posed an issue for your stay. Your acknowledgement and appreciate of this communication were noted.
    Upon your arrival, you contaced our property management company through Evolve to express your concerns about the washer/dryer. In response, we offered to refund your entire stay and made suggestions and recommendations of the Marriott Courtyard, conveniently located across from the park with a rooftop pool, as an alternative if you were not satisfied with the condo, however, you politely declined and made the decision to fulfill your stay at our condo.
    - Regarding the issues you encountered during your stay, we want to address a few of them:
    The damage to the condo on the first day: A fixture that you mentioned was described inaccurately, and it is securely attached with drywall screws. The five hooks are inset and anchored from the back with two screws. It would have required substantial force to break one of the hooks. You initially indicated that you would fix it but left it in a broken state.
    Communication: While you indicated to us that everything was fine, there were reports of complaints made to the management company. We have maintained professional and courteous communication throughout, and we have documented our interactions with you and provided this information to the management company for their reference.
    We regret any inconvenience you experienced during your stay and appreciate your feedback, as it allows us to make improvements where necessary. Our aim is to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests.
    We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
