We were looking for a place to stay along the coast to escape the excessive heat, smoke, and fire danger of the Rogue Valley in the month of August. We found the home quite comfortable and charming. We both work remotely and the two desk setups make it easy.
The home is along a busy main street (for a small town), however, the bayside more than makes up for it. There are beautiful trees, birds, and bay life to relax and inspire you.
You are within walking distance of some good shops - the Espresso Coffee stand, Empire Bakery, Tokyo Bistro, the local donut shop, McKay's Market, and the Indian food at American Market is incredible! There is a great music store that hosts a wonderful open mic at OrCoastMusic.
The views are incredible and the home is very comfortable. We found ourselves in the backyard barbecuing fresh oysters and eating ripe blueberries and strawberries from the garden almost on a daily basis.
The breakfast nook is a wonderful place to have a cup of coffee.
The bathtub is fantastic after a day of hiking.
There are all new appliances which make tidying up and nesting easy.
We were the first guests and the owners were quick and cheerful to address any concern we had. A lot of hard work and love went into creating this home away from home.
