Horrible stay during a storm
1/5 We are a family of 3 who chose this place for the good reviews and being near Chatuge. The first night was good and we weathered a small storm. The second night with another storm that came through, we lost power, lost water supply and no wifi. We contacted all the methods given as "contacts" during the stay. We never heard back. We had to clear out tree branches in the gravel drive to be able to drive our car out. When we didn't hear back from anyone, we decided to leave due to lack of water and power. We had to cut short our vacation and we were very upset with lack of communication. We don't understand why there was no back up or a generator or something available for water-- we couldn't use any sinks, toilets or showers. We booked through evolve through booking.com and they swindled $465 for two nights when we only stayed one night. It's too steep a price in general for the location and facility but the lack of communication and response made it an utterly terrible value.
Home away from home
5/5 We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and enjoying the beautiful scenery. This property is located on a quiet road. It was very homey and had everything we needed. Very clean and close to town. Would definitely stay here again.
