Our first impression of the house was the overgrown entrance.
-read on an earlier post that it had been taken care of. It needs to, again!
-never went back to the basement after first seeing it and finding it was an unfinished basement that smelled musty with taped up furniture…inexcusable for what we paid Eliminating pool and Fusball . -Unable to use the fifth bedroom in the basement and bathroom, not connected & a basement bathroom became a no go!
-We shared beds that were full and queens w/ 2 & 3 to accommodate all that were there for the weekend. We found a fold out futon in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Asked for twin sheets & were told to take the sheets off the full bed in the basement for the twin, They told us to turn on the humidifier to take out the moisture. The description never explained the fifth bedroom was in the basement that smelled musty even with the humidifier and air conditioner running. We had young children & there was no way kids/parents could be in a basement with the other half upstairs.
-only one top sheet was provided or using the comforter that stays on the bed through all the guests.
-no clean blankets or extra pillows were provided.
-We made dinner one night, but the pans were unusable as they were all scraped up, and we had no foil to cover them. Trip down the hill to Ingles to get foil to use to make our dinner. On a positive it is a great location if you’re enjoying Asheville.

Another great year in Asheville. This is the 3rd house I have rented through Evolve.
The house was not exactly what I thought it was going to be but it was nice. A little dated in decor.
I do love being up in the mountains rather than in town. And this year we did Looking Glass Falls and Slippery Rock.
All in all we had a great time and we are already planning our trip for August 2024!
Beautiful home with great views and location! Convenient to the national forest, nature activities, and downtown Asheville. Very private, great for families/groups of 10 or less. The guest contact Brandy was very helpful and always quick to respond!
From the owner: "Thank you so much for your feedback and choosing to stay at the HoneyComb house."
The location was convenient to so many things. The house was the perfect size for 9 of us. The kitchen was great and had most of what we needed. Having dinner on the deck was very nice, although the view does not look like the pictures anymore. The game room was musty, but still fun for the kids. The area where the hot tub, which is listed as a feature, was not maintained and overgrown.

Homeowner's Response: "Hi Teresa, thank you so much for your feedback. We have taken care of the lawn area and are planning to build a deck around the hot tub area for our future guests to enjoy. Hoping to welcome you again in the future."
The house amenities were amazing. Large family room for gathering. Main level bedrooms great. Super clean and dog friendly. Downstairs bedroom is huge but beware you are adjacent to the garage so very difficult to contain the spiders. You are on top of Bee's Mountain that "appears" to only have another house sharing the top with a one fit car road. Luckily we never met up .. amazing vacation!!

Homeowner's Response: "Hi Dan and Cathy, thank you so much for your feedback and for choosing to stay at HoneyComb house. Since we are in nature, despite pest control service, we still run into a lot of neighboring bugs and spiders. We do clean the garage area to avoid any spider webs from forming, but sometimes, it gets difficult as they build their nests overnight. We will keep exploring as to what is a safe way to coexist with them while providing a safe, clean home for our guests. Thank you."
