We arrived at night and this area is super dark. The driveway is not clearly marked so we had a hard time finding the exact unit, and the driveway along the side of the main house is super dark and very narrow.
The code that I was instructed to use did not work so I had to fumble to get in touch with property manager. Was given another code to use, but instructions were not clear on what to do to actually lock it when we left. After googling how to do this for this type of lock, we ended up figuring it out on our own.
Batteries were dead in tv remote control so I couldn’t use tv until I got batteries.
Place felt old and dirty. The mattresses were disgusting and stained.
Wi-Fi strength is super slow.
So much noise in the unit from refrigerator and water tank. No one was staying at the main house rental, but I can only imagine how loud that would be for guests in this unit because the pool area for the main house is right next to this unit.
My husband hit his head on the angled ceilings 3-4 times.
Garbage disposal was not working and we were told to reset it. Really? However, the next morning, someone came to fix that and try to fix the noise of refrigerator. Refrigerator still made noise the whole week.
Definitely suggest that the owners spend just a small amount of time making this unit more appealing. Simple things like getting new mattresses and use full zip mattress pad protectors, pillow protectors, etc. Paint the base moldings or at the very least, clean them very well. Maybe replace the countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. The place seems really neglected. Especially for the amount that we were charged nightly.
I also was flabbergasted at the cleaning charge, since I basically cleaned up myself besides laundering sheets and towels per the checkout instructions. I was instructed to strip the beds, put towels in the floor, clean and put away all dishes, remove everything from refrigerator, and take out the garbage. Not sure anything besides laundering is done there. I wore socks because floors felt very dirty.

- Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered and the inconvenience they caused.
- First, we want to address the difficulties you faced upon arrival, including the darkness of the area and the unclear driveway markings. It was the property manager's responsibility to ensure that guests can easily locate and access the property, and we regret any confusion you experienced in this regard.
- Regarding the issues with the door code and TV remote batteries, we were promptly notified by our property manager and took immediate action to address them. We understand the importance of having functional amenities for our guests, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
- We are deeply disappointed to hear about the cleanliness and maintenance issues you encountered during your stay. It is our expectation that the property is thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained before each guest's arrival. We have since taken steps to rectify these issues, including replacing the mattress pads and protectors, addressing the noise from the refrigerator with professional help, and ensuring that all base moldings are cleaned and painted.
- Additionally, we were unaware that guests were being asked to launder their own linens and towels at the end of their stay. This is not in line with our standard procedures, and we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
- We have taken your feedback seriously and have made changes accordingly. We have terminated our contract with the current property manager/cleaning company due to their lack of proper management and cleaning standards. Moving forward, we will ensure that all future cleaning companies thoroughly inspect the property to ensure everything is in working order and properly cleaned before guests' arrival.
- We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a more enjoyable stay.
