Amazing family vacation mountain house!
5/5 The Milky Way Lodge had such a warm and comfy feel. It had everything we needed for a fun family vacation and the customer service was excellent. Our kids loved playing all the games in the basement while we enjoyed the beautiful sunny snowy mountain views from the deck. The stary sky at night and sunrise each morning was epic!
We adjusted well to the altitude after only one day and the kids were outside playing in the snow and sledding the whole time. The internet for streaming services worked great for our evening movie, and we really liked cooking meals together with the fitted-out kitchen.
The welcome book provided lots of great info, so we visited some local sights and even got to see the 15-foot Breckenridge troll sculpture. The Mount Princeton Hot Springs were nice in the winter too! We drove our AWD mini-van and it worked out extremely well. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing get-away just outside of Fairplay with great access to surrounding attractions.
