While the location and setting of the home was great, the cleanliness of the home was lacking. We found dog hair and dust were pilled up under the beds and on the couch. We found a pair of underwear behind a dresser, mouse droppings in the bathroom, and the basement smelled moldy and the floor was wet in the play area and hallway. The bathroom in the basement also wasn’t working. Overall disappointed and didn’t want to spend time inside the house but unfortunately had to with a baby in tow.

Homeowner's Response:
"Hi Lauren, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We're sorry to hear that your stay fell short of expectations, particularly in terms of cleanliness and comfort. We have addressed your feedback with our cleaning team to ensure that higher standards are consistently met. While we were unable to confirm some of the concerns reported, like the droppings, we genuinely apologize for any impression of uncleanliness.
Additionally, we understand that the wet floor in the basement was disruptive, especially with a baby. A plumbing issue had been addressed before your arrival, but unfortunately, an unrelated leak developed during your stay. We're now fully resolving this to prevent any future inconvenience.
Thank you again for your feedback; it helps us enhance the guest experience."
Great stay! House has plenty of space. Would stay again

The location itself and neighborhood are great. The house's size is great and it really can fit your group.
However, I need to point out that you should bring whatever you need and tread lightly. The propane was empty, the knives were dangerously dull, the blender was broken, the sink was loose in the counter, there is no threshold separating the carpet transition from the LVP (trip hazard), and certain doors don't stay closed. When I contacted the owner about the propane and broken blender, their response was either to drive to town and get it myself (1 hour there and back) or I'm out of luck. Any listed amenity should be confirmed functional on a regular basis.

Owner's Response:
"Hi Mark, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm glad you enjoyed the location, neighborhood, and the spaciousness of the house. Your feedback is important to us, and I appreciate you bringing these issues to my attention.
I apologize for the inconvenience regarding the propane tank and blender. When you notified me about the empty propane tank on Saturday morning, I did attempt to find a solution. Unfortunately, our local contact was unavailable, and I couldn't secure a delivery service on short notice. I suggested that if you happened to go into town, which is actually a 10-minute drive, I would reimburse you for filling the tank. I also want to let you know that I replaced the tank with two new ones immediately after your visit, along with the blender.
Regarding the other issues you mentioned, this was the first time I had heard about the dull knives, doors not shutting, and the loose sink. We recently remodeled the kitchen last fall, and I will ensure these concerns are addressed promptly. As for the flooring, we had just replaced it in the main part of the home and had scheduled to finish the remaining areas shortly after your stay. The transition areas from wood to carpet have now been completed.
Your feedback helps us improve, and I appreciate your understanding and patience. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future."
Was a great stay, 4 wheel drive a must if staying during the winter! The county plow plowed a Burm in the entrance of the driveway the first day and got stuck in an all wheel drive SUV. Got over 8 inches of snow the second day and fortunately the hired snowplow for the property was their early and cleared the driveway.
