This property was beyond disappointing and the management was even worse. Do not stay here… The building throughout the hallway to get to the unit smells like old musty, dark & dank building that is very unkept. There is a balcony, as advertised, however a large trash dumpster- which is not seen in the advertisement as they strategically took pictures to avoid seeing the dumpster—was just feet away and surrounded by large, black squawking crows. In addition to that super fun fact, the WIFI was severely unstable. It would connect for a few mins and then drop. My family of 3 tried all throughout the night with zero success on 5 different devices… often resulting in a spinning wheel & no connection. I work remotely and had a lot to catch up on. When i called the manager around 8:30pm, she said she would ask the owner. We left for firework show, returning around 10:15pm with no result. I called her again the next morning around 6:30am and she said she would look into it. I told her i could reboot the router if she told me where it was located. She called back stating the owner does not own the wifi router and she would reach out to the building owner. Around 9:15am she calked snd said she was still waiting to hear back. I told her i was behind on work and could not wait any longer. We booked a room down the road and hauled our luggage back down the stairs to the underground parking (no elevator) so we could get the online to get caught up on my work. Zero return or apology.

    Manager's Response:

Owners response: "Susan, selecting the right vacation home is very important, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you.
    - You were provided with Evolves' 24/7 phone number and the local contact information before check-in and we both did communicate with you.
    - The building is kept up by an onsite management team and it is not as you explain, it is not unkept and they do a good job. The listing advises there is no elevator.
    - We did not ask that the pictures omit any items and the dumpster was not strategically left out, trash dumpsters are located in the garage, and we have no control over birds as they are part of nature.
    - When you contacted us on Saturday evening we spoke to you and advised the office opened at 9 a.m. and we would have the internet system reset. It was reset and fully functional within minutes of the office opening, we called and advised you it was taken care of but you had already checked out. We realize you are upset that you did not receive the full refund which you requested. However, we followed the refund policy you agreed to at booking. You did not give us ample time to remedy the issue and then blamed us when everything was up and running.
    - For future visitors, please note this is a clean, well-equipped, value-priced vacation property, located in the mountains. Our unit is within walking distance of the lifts, which means it is high on the mountain. From time to time, especially during peak weekends and wind storms, the internet may be intermittent for short periods. Our complex has a centralized system with the highest bandwidth offered in Mammoth, further, there is a booster just outside our front door. If you require a 100% internet guarantee, respectfully, you may want to select a vacation destination closer to a big city.

We work hard to go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! All reasonable requests are granted as quickly as possible. We are accustomed to delivering a 5-star experience and will continue to do so."

  • Clean Condo & Easy Walk to Lifts

This condo was quite cozy, clean, and inviting. I stayed here with my two daughters (ages 10 and 8) and there was plenty of space for us to relax and hang out. The main living area is really comfy and has a nice new carpet to sprawl out and play board games on. The best part was the easy walk out to Canyon Lodge.

  • Nice location, but a standard condo rental

The location of this condo is quite nice, since you can immediately walk to the Canyon area ski lifts. I'm a bit unsure if I would say here in the summer, since you cannot store your bike in the rental.

After staying in a few mountain area condos, you learn that the people who own these

rarely put much effort into them. That is definitely the case here. The coffee table fell completely apart with just the softest push. The dishwasher doesn't have an anti-tip bracket installed -- definitely a concern for people with small kids.

I'd implore the owner of the condo to put a bit more time into maintaining the property, rather than just paying someone $150 to flip it between guests.

    Manager's Response:

From the owner: "Lynda, thank you so much for your comments. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and that you took the time to bring the dishwasher item to our attention, it has been addressed. Guest safety and the cleanliness of our unit are of utmost importance to us. As for the coffee table breaking, we understand accidents can happen and we expect normal wear and tear on our unit, which is booked solid during ski season. It has also been repaired until it can be replaced this summer. As mentioned in our detailed listing description, bike storage is located in a locked room in the underground garage, but since it is common to the complex we recommend guests lock their bikes up in the storage facility. Thank you again for your kind comments!"

  • Great stay!

Excellent location for skiing (very short hike to Chair 7 or a bit further to 17 or Canyon), and the interior of the condo was very nice. Lots of useful kitchen utensils and appliances. Comfy couch and bed. There is a Roku TV but not cable. The checkout instructions weren’t as clear as I would have liked, but otherwise it was a great experience. We’d be happy to rent this place again.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Julia, The owner wanted to pass this along: Thank you for the review and feedback. There is cable, which can be accessed via the Roku TV. I will put more explicit instructions in the unit for future guest stays. There is a guest information binder on the kitchen counter with all of the details. We appreciate your business and hope you will visit again!
