Not as represented - it is a large beautiful home, perfect for entertaining, but not at all comfortable for sleeping 9 adults. It is comfortable for 5 - one king, 2 twins, but the "queen" is a double and there isn't a sofa bed. We asked where the air mattress was and she said - I don't have it, but can door dash one to you tomorrow.. There was a wrap around sofa - we were told "you can push that together to make a bed". So part of our group quickly made reservations at a hotel as this was Thanksgiving weekend.
We heard some beeping the first night and thought it was the refrigerator. Then it started again, and we quickly figured out it was the smoke alarm and it was 16+ feet high. We immediately reached out to Kirsten, but she indicated "that only happens when you take a shower in the middle bedroom and should stop soon". No one was showering. She tried to call for a handyman (she said) but never reached anyone or communicated with us. The beeping continued intermittently (it would stop for several hours, and then start up every 30 seconds or so - ALWAYS at night) for the ENTIRE 5 DAYS. We reached out numerous times, and after day 3 she just quit responding to us at all. We also reached out to VRBO when she quit talking to us. They requested photos and audio recordings of the problems, which we have provided, but have not heard back. Very disappointing - not likely to use VRBO again and would NOT recommend this rental for a group of more than 5. SAD!

There was a problem (night lights with burned-out bulbs) that was easily remedied. One of the two ovens wasn't working - but we didn't need two ovens. Was a good value and in exactly the area I was looking for.

My family and I recently stayed at this property and had a horrible experience. This was our first family vacation in 12 years and we were so excited to spend time together and experience Arizona for the first time. What first attracted us to this rental was the beautiful views! Which turned out to be the only good thing that came from this rental property. When we first got to the property, we walked around it and immediately noticed that it wasn’t very clean. After further inspection we were absolutely disgusted. There were crumbs & dirt all over the title floor throughout the house. The counters were not clean and still had food on them. The one fridge that was “broken” smelled of rotten meat. So we had to use the other one, we opened it up and it was dirty. Food stains and hair in the door and on the shelves. Outside there were pillows and towels just laying over by the side of the house. A candle was on the table that was filled to the top with cigarette butts. Gross! The linen closet was so messy and sheets were just thrown in there. It is also not a 4 bedroom. It is a 3 bedroom with a room with a pull out couch that had a dirty & broken spring mattress . We contacted the property manager and was told that a cleaning crew would be out to clean. Well that didn’t happen. So she said she would come out herself that next morning, she didn’t arrive until late morning and made all the excuses in the world for the condition of the home. She stayed while we went out exploring and when we came back it looked like only a few things were cleaned. The thing that set me over was the awful smell of dog pee on the rug in the first living room. It was awful. We then found out that the owner was not happy that we complained and made us leave. Overall this property is not vacation rental ready! It needs a lot of work and up keep. The owner needs to be more attentive of the property so that guests have a better experience.
Hi Lyndsay, we always appreciate honest and constructive feedback, but after talking with the homeowner, they'd like to clarify the following points:
- The home is professionally cleaned and sanitized before each guest's arrival. Additionally, a couple of days before your stay, the cleaners completed a deep clean of the kitchen supplies, including the dishes, glasses, and silverware. On the day of your check-in, the local Guest Contact did a walkthrough to ensure that the home was fully prepared and ready for your arrival.
- We responded promptly each time you reached out and did all we could to accommodate your needs to provide the most comfortable. We came to the house the first time your group called and took care of all the concerns we could address at that moment.
- We also purchased a brand-new sectional sleeper couch to replace the broken one and even rented a truck to ensure the couch arrived quickly, just two days later, instead of waiting for it to be delivered.
- When you expressed cleanliness concerns, we offered to refund the cleaning fee right away; however, you did not find this to be a fair resolution.
- Since you felt that our efforts to address and resolve your concerns were insufficient, we felt it was in the best interest of all to end the reservation early. We provided a refund for the nights not stayed so you could stay at a property that better fit your needs.
The owner and their team work hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests, and we look forward to this home hosting many happy travelers!
