  The "Hobble Inn" was formerly a family home (used for a while as a true B&B), and felt that comfortable. It has several rooms for sitting and chatting (two living rooms, a dining room, an eat-in kitchen, and even a front porch), so it was well suited for our family reunion. We were glad we chose it instead of renting a modern, but sterile, condo. It is, indeed, just a 5-minute walk from Main Street shops and the start of the Recreation Path, but on a very quiet, low-traffic side street. Being older folks who are still being careful about COVID, we did all our own cooking in the spacious kitchen, instead of eating out. Two minor cautions: (1) this is an older (early 19th century) house with a steep set of stairs to the second floor (where 3 of the 4 bedrooms are located), so bear that in mind if that would be a challenge, and (2) one of the two available parking spaces is the garage, which is big enough for a compact car, but a tight fit for anything larger (i.e., wider).

  This charming home is a super place to rest after wandering the Stowe area. Mary is so accommodating. Enjoyed walking to town, sitting on the porch or in the living room catching up with friends.

  We had a great stay at this house in Stowe. You can walk into town, and it's a short drive to great skiing. The house was comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. Mary was an attentive host, always available to answer any questions. We had a wonderful time in Stowe!

• Hobble Inn - Ski Trip

  Just enjoyed a week ski holiday at the Hobble inn vacation rental in Stowe. The stay was perfect. The house is every bit as beautiful as the pictures suggest and it is perfectly located just a 2 minute walk from the centre of Stowe.

  The beds were great quality with very comfortable mattress and pillows and anything else you could ever want could also be found in the house making for a perfect stay.

  The owner Mary is a wonderful host providing all the help and information you could need and was always on hand if we needed help (though we needed no extra help).

  The house was toasty and warm and all the necessary instructions to use the house and so make the best of it were clear.

  Mary is a professional host who takes pride in her home and it shows

  Thank you so much for letting us rent for the week. We had a great time
