Situated in Star Valley, the 'Cosmic Farmhouse' is flanked by the Salt River Range of western Wyoming and the Webster Range of eastern Idaho. This beautiful valley area provides ideal proximity to activities in the mountains in addition to the peacefulness of wide open space.

About 15 miles north of the property, you can access the Snake River, famous for fly fishing and whitewater rafting. In the summer, enjoy convenient proximity to 3 golf courses - Bridger Mountain Golf Course, Aspen Hills Golf Course, and Cedar Creek Golf Course are within 5 minutes of the house! Practice your swing or lounge by the pool, all with a stunning mountain backdrop.

A day trip (or 2!) to Jackson Hole is absolutely necessary while staying just an hour away. Discover the charming town of Jackson and fall in love with its perfect combination of Old West reminiscence and modern mountain prestige. Surrounded by mountains on 3 sides and a National Elk Refuge on the other, possibilities for outdoor recreation are endless. Make the steep trek up the local Snow King Mountain or head to the majestic Grand Tetons for more strenuous hikes.

Summer travelers will want to check out the annual Teton County Fair or the popular Jackson Hole Rodeo. Go mountain biking in the Gros Ventre Wilderness, listen to live bands at Music on Main, or sip a drink on the saddle bar stools of the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Winter travelers can hit the slopes at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, one of the most stunning and advanced ski areas in the country!

    This home had everything needed even the minimums item. Even the smallest detail was thought off. Example air fresheners in bathrooms. All kinds of spices in kitchen. First aide kit and I could go on. Beautifly decorated very spacious gorgeous home. All you need from grocery store is your food. Love and enjoyed our stay.

    We have stayed in a lot of vacation homes over the years, and this was the best stocked we’ve ever stayed in. We do some serious cooking on vacation, and we didn’t want for anything. Well stocked spices, oils, and enough dish towels, plus there are good grocery stores nearby. Plenty of beach towels and bathroom towels etc, and it was very clean.

    My kids loved biking around, swimming at the pool (heads up, small and not free), and throwing rocks in the canal that runs behind the house.

    It’s a fair drive to Jackson and the Tetons, but we enjoyed the local hiking as well, and we enjoyed exploring the star valley ranch community.

    Only negative feedback- the internet was out half the time we were there. They did come promptly and reset the router, so it was likely an outage, but it was frustrating to be without for 3 days. The kids bunk bed was creaky, and I wouldn’t have put anyone heavier than my 6yo on the top. The water heater was challenging for 9 people. We would come back from hiking and want to clean up, and there just wasn’t enough hot water. Plus it would get icy any time someone else used water in the house.

    This property appears to be a new ground-up build. It certainly shows like a new home. Open high-ceiling floor plan. Nice higher/end fixtures. Tastefully decorated with modern Western furnishings including weathered wood cabinets. Everything fully stocked. Nice floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace. House sits up on a bluff with windows and deck with full views overlooking Star Valley. Finally, a property owner who didn't scrimp on the garage...oversized 2-car garage easily facilitates 2 Yukon XL's with plenty of room to park fully inside with the rear doors open to load/unload gear. So nice to get into a warm car and not scrape ice off the windows. We had ~6" of fresh powder one evening (on top of packed powder) and had no issues getting up the hill and into the garage. The next morning as we were getting ready to leave the driveway had already been fully plowed. We are frequently in the area and look forward to booking this property again!
