The cabin itself was as advertised. The access to the cabin was VERY DIFFICULT. Add says 4x4 is required, but that is probably only accurate if the road to the cabin has been kept passable. None of our vehicles would climb the hill, we had to walk, carrying ALL of our possessions. Super disappointed in the access. It is a very dangerous hill to be climbing while carrying things. Gravel is very loose and we all almost fell several times going up and down, which we had to a lot of carrying food and luggage. I wish there would have been a way to get a refund on the stay. I would think it is a huge insurance liability, someone could get seriously hurt. It is a steep hill. I would definitely ask to see pictures of the access before renting this one. I don't know what kind of 4 wheel drive is needed, but the ones we own couldn't make it without either sliding into the ditch or trying to go off the cliff side. I didn't contact the property managere, I didn't see a point. I didn't figure they were going to give us access to the side by side that was sitting there.

Hi Mary, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- The listing does mention that a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle is required due to the steep incline leading to the cabin
- We have successfully used our own 4x4 vehicles, including a Toyota Highlander and a Toyota Tundra, to access the property with little difficulty. Previous guests have also mentioned that it is tricky, but not unusable
- If you had reached out during your stay, we could have suggested an alternative route to make unloading your belongings easier and safer
- We chose this hillside location to offer stunning views from the deck, which many of our guests appreciate, but we understand it can be challenging for some
We appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the 5-star service they are known for. We hope to host you again soon!
Very nice, clean, everything worked as described.
