DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON (~7 miles): Historic District, shops, restaurants, bars, breweries
AREA ATTRACTIONS: West Virginia Capitol Building (5 miles), West Virginia State Museum (5 miles), Outdoor Capitol Market (6 miles), Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center (7 miles)
OPT OUTSIDE: Kanawha State Forest (10 miles), Coonskin Park (13 miles), New River Gorge National Park & Preserve (50 miles)
AIRPORT: West Virginia International Yeager Airport (8 miles)
Pros: spacious, decorated nicely, almost fully stocked kitchen, nice outdoor area and fenced in yard. Close to downtown.
Cons: the biggest con was that the house is a few feet from the interstate. It was VERY noise 24/7, so if you’re a light sleeper like me it will make for some sleepless nights. The bed I took was extremely soft (almost felt like an air mattress) so it was uncomfortable for me.
Another con was that the fenced in yard did not have direct access to the interior of the house. For me, this was a big deal because I want a fenced in yard so I do not have to leash my dog to let him out. At this house you have to go around the side of the house to get to the backyard so it was a little inconvenient.
Not a huge deal, but the house did not supply any toiletries so if you forget your body wash or shampoo like I did then it was a bit inconvenient the first night since we got in late and had nothing to shower with.
Also, if you like wine then bring your own bottle opener and wine glasses since they don’t have those in the house either.

Clean cute, convenient! 70 year old wife massive panic attack brought on by the loud traffic!

Basically a modified doublewide in a lower income neighborhood. Comfortable inside, though the mattress on our bed was too soft. The sheets on the other queen looked like they hadn't been washed .

The house suited our needs well. The host was very responsive with any concerns.

We had a nice stay in this home, it was very clean and had everything we needed for a few night getaway. Lots of food options nearby, great antique shopping spots, and nice and close to the actual city. Great spot to stay with the dog!
