  We booked this home because we attended a family wedding in the area, and this was the closest property to the venue (including hotels). It was absolutely perfect with 5 beds! Wish there was 1 more bathroom, but the kitchen was outstanding, and the view was very relaxing!! Nice large tv to watch Thursday night football in the leather recliners!! I totally recommend this home!

• Fun family trip

  The house was nice for large family gatherings, the area has much to do and the house provides enough room for all. I would ask that the listing be updated as it states there is a kayak and paddle board available which are not. We were able to rent a boat and dock it on the property which was nice. My elderly parents were also able to enjoy the stay with us as well. I would advise anyone with family members with mobility issues the stairs could be difficult but luckily 1 bedroom and 1 bath are on the main floor. All in all a nice place, nice location and nice price.

• Overall Okay but Disappointing

  The reviews for this home were great - we were very excited for our stay, but were unfortunately disappointed. Overall house was fairly clean and had enough space to accommodate our group. However, upon arrival there were issues. There were two refrigerators located in the kitchen/entryway. This is not uncommon for large rentals, so we thought nothing of it. However, a few hours after we had loaded all our food into the main fridge - we realized it was not cooling and everything was warm. I called the contact listed and we were told "yes, that fridge isn't working that's why there is the second one". Not necessarily a huge issue since other fridge worked (although working fridge had no ice maker so ice had to be bought), but would have been nice to have an out of order sign etc to avoid us having to load/unload all our food + let it get warm. We planned on using the kayaks/paddle boards listed as amenities and found there to be none. We called the contact, who said there were never kayaks/paddle boards and that was a typo in the listing. They agreed to remedy the situation by refunding $100 to allow us to get rentals - which was appreciated but still unfortunate. As of 8/14, have not received contact on how/when refund will come through. We also planned to grill out the last night of our stay, only to find the two propane tanks left on the patio were completely empty. When we contacted the host - they responded that they should have been full and to check in the garage. There were no additional propane tanks available in the garage, so we were unable to use the grill. Overall home was fine, but lacking. Kitchen could use more supplies, patio/grill could have been cleaned prior to stay, garbage from previous guests was left, listing amenities could be more accurate. High chair listed as amenity but none available. Listed as a "Step-free access, single-story home" - when in fact 3/4 bedrooms located upstairs and stairs to get upstairs were very, very steep and difficult with children. Accessibility specifically listed that it is suitable for the elderly and children and this is simply not the case. Expected this to be all on one story to better accommodate our family. Expected more for the weekend, but basic needs were met.
