Loved our stay! The cabin was beautiful, clean and spacious with all amenities you could need. It felt secluded even with having neighbors below. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed on the hottest 2 days in August! Hoped the private boat dock was out the front door to access the water for relief. The picture made it seem like it was just in front of the A Frame. Had to walk past the junkyard house just below us down a long gravel hill to get to boat dock which is in a row with other docks. Entire lake is developed so no areas to stop off for a dip to cool off. The air conditioning only gave some relief in the living room/kitchen area. Along with bugs coming in through the duct taped connection. Thankfully there was a fan in our bedroom and we brought one of our own. The drawers in the kitchen have no handles so that was interesting. Screen door entrance has tears/holes in it for bug hotel. It’s a seriously outdated cabin with some modern amenities to make it bearable. Our hope was to have a cold beer inside with AC after being out on the boat in the heat at Bobbers, but no pets allowed inside. Out to the patio area where no one was. Probably a better stay when heat isn’t an issue.
Hi Holly, thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay. After reviewing your comments with the homeowner, they’d like to provide the following details:
- The listing mentions that the boat dock is located at the end of the driveway across the road, and we encourage guests to fully review the listing details to ensure the layout meets their expectations.
- The neighboring property isn't a junkyard, though they do store lawn tractors and sheds. While we can’t control how neighbors maintain their property, they're kind people.
- We’re sorry the A/C didn’t meet your expectations. The main unit is currently awaiting service, but we’ve installed backup units that previous guests have found effective. We anticipate the main unit will be repaired by the end of the month.
- The bugs you noticed aren’t coming from the A/C; they’re likely entering due to the door being opened and closed frequently, something we’ve experienced ourselves when staying at the property. However, we’ve since repaired the screen door, which should help prevent future issues.
- The kitchen drawers are designed without handles, and the listing photos clearly show this, along with the current condition of the space, allowing guests to review everything before booking to ensure it aligns with their tastes.
- Unfortunately, we don’t have control over the pet policy at Bobbers.
The homeowner works hard to provide a wonderful guest experience and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied visitors.
Loved staying in this quaint A-frame. We only stayed for a weekend but we can’t wait to go back.

Cabin was well equipped, clean, and cozy. Bed in main bedroom is super comfortable. Would love to stay again.
We had a great stay. Plenty of room and everything you needed it has. It's not right on the lake but has frontage. Nextdoor is a bar/restaurant which is nice too. Good price. Thank you.
