Beautiful location and comfortable accommodations. Great kitchen with better than average utensils and a really good gas stove. There is a very good gas grill on the deck. The biggest problem is that the only bathroom is on the second floor and there is no inside shower. This might not be a problem for those under 50 but for us it was somewhat more challenging. The bathroom picture was taken with a fisheye lens which makes the toilet look elongated. It is not. The only shower is outside and when we stayed it was too cold to use in the morning. The second problem we had was that the king size bed was in an alcove that only had a few inches on each side so access was only over the foot of the bed. There was what seemed like a full Roku menu available on the TV for streaming so if you are comfortable with that you would be well entertained. There was a good selection of books to chose from to read as well.
There are three dogs on site that we only interacted with once and they were very friendly. The host couple is very friendly and took care of the only other minor problems we had as soon as they were informed.
From the owner: "We are so sorry you had a hard time with the stairs and bed. We do have it in the listing that it is not suitable for folks with mobility issues. We will have to highlight that so it can’t be missed. I hope you enjoyed Port Townsend and the music festival. Cheers"
Great getaway!! Very comfortable and tranquil!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage. The property was nice and quiet and the house was perfect. The wood burning stove was really nice and the hosts provided us with some wood and starters. The bed was soft and comfortable but it’s a bit awkward to get in and out of, but the outdoor shower was a unique and fun touch!
