The house is very old and very dated. nevertheless, there are some elements that are unacceptable. the house has a heavy smell of mold; the house is poorly maintained (very old mattresses, burned-out light bulbs all over, wear and tear everywhere.); poorly equipped; very dirty (spiderwebs everywhere; dirty floor; dirty cookware and dishes; dusty blankets; dirty grill; garbage left from previous guests); and on top of all that, the house is infested with mice, mice crossing bedrooms and kitchen with no fear, contaminating the food. There were mice droppings everywhere including under the so-called “Clean sheets”, indicating that this was a known problem before we entered the house. This house is a health hazard! Overall a very poor experience!!

Hi Zak, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. We followed up with the homeowners, who were surprised by your feedback as you didn't bring any of these issues to their attention when they spoke to you during your stay. They asked us to share this feedback:
- First, we would like to assure you that our home is not a health hazard. It is cleaned thoroughly and professionally between each guest.
- The house is just as pictured in the listing, no major changes have occurred since those photos were taken.
- We aren't aware of a mold smell, but we do run the dehumidifier to help deal with the summer humidity.
- We are replacing mattresses on an as-needed basis, so some are newer than others. We will speed up this process if necessary.
- We do our best to replace any burned-out lightbulbs, but there are a lot of light fixtures so it’s hard to guarantee they will always be perfect.
- We shared your cleanliness comments with our housekeepers. They do make sure to clean all dishes and floors regularly; the carpets are scheduled to be deep-cleaned soon.
- We can assure you all of the bedding is clean. We wash the sheets between each guest and wait until just before arrival to make the beds, to ensure they stay fresh.
- Housekeeping assured me there was no garbage left behind from the previous guests.
- Mice are a known issue for houses in this area and have been worse than usual this year. We manage this to the best of our ability, and there is by no means an infestation.
We apologize that these issues made your stay less enjoyable. We wish you would have let us know sooner so that we could address each concern promptly for a better experience.
I had a group of 10 guys on a weekend getaway. From having plenty of beds to the open concept living area, this house suited my group perfectly. The only thing this property could possibly be missing is a firepit in the back yard. Location is everything, and this house has it. 5 min from Green Mtn. National golf course, and 10 min to killington mtn. I would absolutely rent this property again.

Beautiful home, however, there were mice and tics in the house. Asked for the grill to be ready and it was unaccpetably dirty, the propane tank did not work so we had to go out and buy one. Needs upgrades. Overall, had a great time.

The property was perfect for our big group! The kitchen and living room areas were open and conducive to hanging out together. Bedrooms were comfy and spacious. Thanks so much for having us!

This is a lovely house. The common space is large and welcoming and it is equipped with just about everything you will need, including a coffee grinder! That said, we could not use the lower level of the house (2 of the bedrooms and two bathrooms) because of the overwhelming mustiness. There were 3 dehumidifiers in the house, but they were not left running and it was a shame. Two of our party had to sleep on the couches, and we were all taking sinus medication and decongestants the whole time we were there. The house is probably great in the winter when humidity isn't an issue.
