• Stopping on the way to Myrtle beach

  The cabin was so cute, lots of space. There’s no ac, but the trees create enough shade and the fans really helped keep everything cool. We stayed 2 nights to break up our trip on the way down to Myrtle beach. It was nice being secluded and visiting all the little mom and pop shops. Definitely would book again.

• Beautiful, serene, very very green!

  This trip was especially important to me, and I chose this specific place because I wanted a gorgeous place to meet my nephew for the first time. I almost felt it was too good to be true. To my surprise - this cabin is even more exquisite in person. It was our own private getaway for my family and I, and we soaked up every bit of its beauty. Lastly, the host Brittney was so sweet. She responds quickly and she was there for any questions I had. I now plan on choosing this place for my annual trip - if you’re thinking about booking this place DO IT you will not regret it.

  Beautiful, quiet cabin was our retreat for a 33rd wedding anniversary.

  We had a few issues while there.

  Unable to connect to the wi-fi, but was able to figure it out just before we left.

  Couldn’t get the wood stove to light, even with fire starter brick, so it was on the cool side, even with 2 portable heaters.

  Being isolated necessitated cooking some meals, but several of the skillets were not very conducive to

  stovetop cooking.

  Hot water for showering was depleted fairly quickly, allowing only one person to shower.

  Manager's Response:

  Hi Carey, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize if you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - The location of this vacation property is part of its charm, however this also means that internet service can be a real challenge. We apologize for the issues with the router which led to a change of the WIFI name which was different from what was in our welcome guide.
  - We have since worked with our internet service provider and hopefully this does not occur again. While we cannot control these external factors, we’re sorry this impacted your stay.
  - Though other previous guests had not commented on any issues with cookware, we took your advice and ordered new skillets for meal preparation. We hope you will return in the future to use them.
  - We’re sorry that the wood burning stove can be troublesome. Leaving the door slightly ajar helps enhance the airflow until the fire is really strong, before closing it completely, is a tip I learned from the videos we provided and typically works great.
  - Given your internet issues, we apologize if you were not able to view them and in the future we will have more detailed hardcopy notes for wood burning stove usage.
  - We hope you keep us in mind for your future travels. We’d love to host you the next time you visit. Your feedback assists us in understanding our guests' perspectives and improving wherever possible. Thank you for sharing your review!
