• Older, Run down property needing cleaning and maintenance

  Based on the pictures I had hoped this would be a clean and updated home. After our stay the past few days I am surprised by all the good reviews. While the home provides ample space for a group it is not clean and maintained. The garage is FULL of junk and boxes that look as if they have been there for over 25 years. The stucco and paint is peeling everywhere, there are holes in the interior walls, trim, and exterior roof soffit and stucco where bugs and critters could easily access. The yard is full of weeds, overgrown trees and bushes. The deck wood paint is peeling and caused splinters. The driveway is so steep it’s not worth driving up and the cement and bricks are crumbling everywhere. The bedding sheets and comforters were stained and had hair on them when we arrived. Were they washed before we came??? Rugs were dirty and all the lights and fixtures were caked with dust. The kitchen dishes and appliances were not clean - the waffle maker still had grease puddles on the inside. We washed all the dishes and utensils before using them. The cupboards and drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms had greasy dirt and stains inside and were full of personal items. The garbage bin in the kitchen had old trash stuck inside it. The closet in the master was full of personal items, coats, etc. The mattresses were old and the ironing board cover was old, dirty and stained. The A/C took its time to work. The main floor was really warm (over 80 degrees) while the basement was freezing. My intent for this detailed review is to help the owners address the specific issues for future guests if they intend to keep renting it. The property has potential but right now it needs a lot of work.

• Great house for a large group.

  Upon our arrival the house was very clean. Beds were comfortable. There was plenty of towels and supplies available for the week. The owners were very easy to get in touch with and pleasant to work with. The house is very large and worked perfectly for our family. Good neighborhood and quiet. Very close to shopping and stores.

  Spacious home, comfy beds, nice view. Be aware of the crazy steep driveway. Overall, a nice place to stay.
