Not good
2/5 Home smelled like a rotting animal. Don’t plan on being able to unpack your bags because there’s nowhere to put your stuff. Drawers, dressers, and closets were full of owner’s belongings (messy and random stuff-like ovulation tests, hair dye, breast pads, used toothbrushes, trash, and tubs of Vaseline). Master closet reeked of body odor. Our feet got black from walking around downstairs. Coffee percolator had mildew. Dishwasher wouldn’t turn on. No trash can outside so trash piled up. Opened food left in pantry. Guest bed upstairs even too thin and cheap for a 10 year old to sleep comfortably. King mattress covered in stains. Owner agreed to refund the cleaning fee after we were told by the guest contact that the owner stayed the night before our arrival and told her she didn’t need to clean it prior to our arrival. We debated just leaving and going to a hotel, but we drove 12 hours and were in town for a funeral, not a vacation so we just went with it-especially since we were unable to get a refund. Great location and nice neighborhood, but the owner needs to make some changes to make it a proper nightly rental home.
