We had the pleasure of staying here for a few nights and felt like we were in a hotel the entire time. The location is great in an area with a lot of character and less than a mile from unique local restaurants and downtown. The neighborhood was sprinkled with an array of charming bungalows and modern dwellings. We literally walked to breakfast and found some great places like "Juan in a Million" and some excellent BBQ. It took us no time to get wherever we wanted and was also next to Ladybird Lake. We also rented some kayaks and canoes, went to the greenbelt trail and hopped in some water, and traveled down 6th street and Congress as well as The Oasis Brewery and Restaurant to get a great view of Lake Travis. When we booked this we expected a nice bed and breakfast but we were pleasantly surprised to see a microwave, mini-fridge, soft sheets, wine and sodas in the fridge for free, and robes with slippers. There was even toothpaste in the cabinet since I had forgotten mine. We definitely forgot we booked a bed and breakfast because it had the feeling of a hotel. It's a chic modern house with so much privacy and also a beautiful lounge area in the front and small deck in the back with a grill. The large windows stare at the beautiful greenery around you. The neighborhood was also peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed walking around it and looking at all the homes. Christian was such a gracious host, always asking us if we needed anything. There was one morning we mentioned cream and sugar for coffee and orange juice and he went to get it for us just moments later. He even set up the giant projection screen in his living room for movies for us two nights in a row and fixed a shower whose water was a bit too warm. We could not have asked for a more hospitable and charming host and we loved his dog as well, who barely barked at all. Thank you for such a marvelous trip at a terrific house with a charming and gracious host!!

We have stayed in many rental properties, as well as B&Bs and this one is the BEST! I only mention B&Bs because usually the owner, or staff are on the premises. Christian, the owner, does live in this property and for us, that was great. He was able to answer all our questions as well as provide recommendations when asked,. He was very unobtrusive but readily available via text. The property itself was top notch, from linens to toiletries to appliances and creature comforts. Great areas in
and outside the home to relax, And its location was convenient to everything in Austin, which is important, given the traffic in this city. The resident dog is a bonus, as she is very sweet, calm and never intrudes. We personally do not own dogs but she is the poster pup for best dog ever!
Every detail was taken care of at this beautiful home in Austin. From the fluffy towels to the fridge full of drinks, we loved every moment of this home base as we explored Austin for the first time. Very convenient location in a quaint neighborhood with easy access to all activities.
